Portable Toilet Storage Methods

Admin October 06, 2026

The storage methods for portable toilets need to be tailored according to their types and usage scenarios, mainly divided into two categories: outdoor portable toilets and bathroom movable gap toilet storage cabinets. The specific operations are as follows:

Storage of Outdoor Portable Toilets

  1. Immediate Handling After Use
After use, immediately tie the mouth of the built-in special garbage bag or collection bag tightly to prevent odor diffusion. If the equipment is equipped with a lid, close it promptly to block odors. This step is the foundation for subsequent storage and can prevent residue from contaminating the interior of the equipment.

  2. Proper Disposal of Excrement

    • Portable Toilets or Collection Bags: After defecation, add a coagulant or deodorizer to solidify the excrement and reduce odors, then seal the bag mouth and place it in a special garbage bag for disposal.
    • Biodegradable System Equipment: Follow the instructions to dispose of liquid excrement (e.g., pour it into designated areas), and have the solid part recycled by professional agencies or disposed of according to the instructions. It is strictly prohibited to discharge untreated excrement directly into the natural environment to avoid polluting soil or water sources.
  3. Equipment Cleaning and Deodorization

    • After removing the sealed waste, use a damp cloth with dish detergent or a special cleaner to wipe the toilet bowl or inner bucket. For stubborn stains, use a cleaner containing decontamination and disinfection ingredients, or a mixture of baking soda and white vinegar (in a 1:1 ratio).
    • If the equipment contains electronic components (such as sensor flushing devices), do not rinse it directly with water; only wipe the surface with a damp cloth.
    • Before each use, place a small amount of deodorizing gel or disinfectant pad in the inner bucket in advance to extend the cleaning cycle and reduce odors.
  4. Drying and Inspection
After cleaning, ensure that all key parts (especially folding joints and around electronic components) are completely dry to prevent metal parts from rusting or electronic components from short-circuiting due to moisture. Regularly check if the folding joints are loose and tighten or replace parts if necessary.

  5. Easy Storage
After the equipment is completely dry, fold it according to its design type:

    • Folding Toilets: Fold according to the instructions and lock the buckles to prevent them from coming apart during transportation.
    • Packing Toilets: After folding, place them in a special storage bag, being careful not to exceed the weight limit indicated on the product to prevent the bag from bursting.

Storage of Bathroom Movable Gap Toilet Storage Cabinets

These storage cabinets are mainly used to optimize bathroom space. When storing, pay attention to the following:

  • Choose the Right Height: Prioritize full-drawer models with 6 or 7 layers and a height of 110cm, with a bottom designed as a door-opening type to fully utilize vertical space for storing cleaning supplies or spare toilet paper.
  • Categorized Storage: Place different items in zones according to their frequency of use, such as placing frequently used items in the middle drawers and less frequently used items on the top or bottom layers to improve retrieval efficiency.
  • Regular Cleaning: Check the items in the cabinet monthly, discard expired or damaged items, and keep the cabinet tidy.
