Portable Toilet Solutions

Admin October 12, 2026

Portable toilet solutions generally refer to portable toilets or portable commodes, which differ in functionality, target users, and design features.

Portable toilets are movable facilities designed primarily for public places or temporary needs, such as outdoor events, construction sites, and disaster relief areas. Their core function is to provide temporary toilet services to the public, typically equipped with an independent waste collection system. Some high-end models also include flushing and deodorizing functions. The portability of portable toilets is reflected in their detachable and transportable structural design, allowing them to be quickly assembled and used after being transported to designated locations by trucks.

Portable commodes, on the other hand, are more focused on personal or family use, especially suitable for individuals with mobility issues, such as the elderly, pregnant women, and the disabled. Their design emphasizes stability and slip resistance, with common structures including bucket-type or sturdy-legged designs to reduce usage risks. They are often made of ABS engineering resin, a material known for its antibacterial and easy-to-clean properties. Some products also incorporate antibacterial agents to enhance hygiene. The capacity of the waste tank is an important parameter for portable commodes, with common sizes being 10 liters and 20 liters. For example, a 10-liter model may measure approximately 410×355×310 mm, while a 20-liter model may measure around 410×355×420 mm, allowing users to choose the appropriate height based on usage scenarios (such as bedrooms or bathrooms).

In terms of pricing, there is significant variation in the market for portable commodes. Basic models, such as rural general-purpose covered portable commodes, can cost as low as 3.22 yuan, while more functional models like car-mounted folding commodes or thickened portable versions can reach up to 49.9 yuan. The price differences mainly stem from materials, design complexity, and additional features (such as slip-resistant bases and detachable waste tanks).

Both portable toilets and portable commodes offer core value in addressing toilet needs in specific scenarios. When choosing, it is essential to consider factors such as usage scenarios, user characteristics, and budget.
