Simple Portable Toilet Production Methods

Admin September 20, 2026

There are several main production methods for simple portable toilets:

Production Using Water Storage Tanks and Pallets: First, prepare a pallet. Use tools to fix universal wheels at the four corners of its bottom to ensure easy mobility. Then, place a water storage tank recovered from a garbage station. Use an angle grinder to cut along the marked line on the top of the tank to form an open-top tank. Stack two open-top water storage tanks upside down and fix them with self-tapping screws to increase the internal space of the toilet. Cut a rectangular opening on the side of the tank as the doorway. Drill a hole in the interior floor, insert an elbow and a water pipe, and seal it to prevent water leakage. Install a toilet and fix it firmly. Fix the water pipe at the wall fasteners, install a faucet, and connect a stainless-steel basin below as a hand-washing basin. Connect the toilet tank and the shower hose, install a toilet seat and a spray-type showerhead to provide basic bathing functions. Finally, make a door with wooden boards and hinges and install a door handle to complete the toilet production.

Production Using Water Storage Barrels: Use an angle grinder to split a water storage barrel in half. Fix universal wheels at the four corners of a wooden board for mobility. Fix wooden strips and self-tapping screws on the upper side of the barrel to increase the height and provide sufficient internal space. Cut an opening on the side of the water storage barrel as the doorway. Install sponge strips to form a door frame and embed plastic soft boards to create raised walls, enhancing the privacy and stability of the toilet. Place the upper half of the water storage barrel on top of the wooden strips to form a roof and apply white waterproof paint to prevent rainwater penetration. Make a door by splicing waste honeycomb wooden boards with foam strips, which is economical and environmentally friendly. Drill a hole in the bottom of the barrel, install a drain pipe to form a floor drain for easy drainage. Drill holes on the side, connect direct joints, and place a plastic bucket on the roof to form a small water storage device. Connect a bathroom heater made of water pipes to provide basic heating functions. Install a three-way joint below the water inlet pipe and connect a showerhead. Place a toilet and install a tank, fixing it with glass glue. Connect the drain pipe to a sewage bucket to ensure smooth sewage discharge. Connect a water pipe horizontally from the three-way joint of the outlet pipe and extend it to the doorway as the water inlet pipe for the hand-washing basin for convenient use. Drill a hole in the door and install a joint to complete the toilet production.

Portable Commode: There is also a simpler portable commode, which mainly consists of a deeper commode bucket and a handle, equipped with a lid. It is suitable for people with mobility issues, such as the elderly and pregnant women at home, being convenient and practical.
