Portable Single-Person Mobile Toilet

Admin October 10, 2026

A portable single-person mobile toilet is a portable facility that can be moved as a whole and provides toilet services to the public. It is a type of mobile toilet.

I. Basic Components
A portable single-person mobile toilet typically consists of a fecal sewage storage tank (or fecal sewage treatment device), floor slab, sanitary ware, walls, washing equipment, water tank, roof, and mobile device. Among them, the fecal sewage storage tank is used to collect excrement and prevent direct discharge from polluting the environment; the sanitary ware includes toilets or squat pans to meet different usage habits; the walls and roof form an enclosed space to ensure the privacy and safety of users; and the mobile device gives it mobility for easy transportation and deployment.

II. Classification Methods

  1. By structural form: It can be divided into single-structure mobile toilets and composite-structure mobile toilets. Single-structure toilets are usually independent units suitable for small-scale needs; composite-structure toilets are composed of multiple units and can be expanded into multi-toilet facilities, suitable for places with a large flow of people.
  2. By moving method: It can be divided into lifting and handling mobile toilets and powered and towed mobile toilets. The former rely on lifting equipment or manual handling and are suitable for short-distance movement; the latter are equipped with power systems or towing devices and can be transported over long distances by vehicles.
  3. By sewage treatment method: It can be divided into water-flush and waterless-flush suction types, circulating water-flush types, and dry-packing types. Water-flush types require a water connection and use water flow to flush away excrement; waterless-flush suction types use vacuum pumps to suck feces into the storage tank; circulating water-flush types use filtration and disinfection technologies to reuse water resources; and dry-packing types use biodegradable plastic bags to collect feces without the need for a water source, suitable for water-scarce or environmentally demanding scenarios.

III. Core Advantages
The portable single-person mobile toilet has the characteristics of mobility, combinability, and convenient transportation. Its modular design allows for quick assembly and disassembly, enabling rapid deployment or withdrawal within a short time, adapting to the needs of temporary events, disaster relief, outdoor construction, and other scenarios. In addition, its reusability reduces long-term costs and aligns with the concept of sustainable development.
