Portable Scenic Area Toilet

Admin September 23, 2026

A portable scenic area toilet, also known as a mobile toilet, is a movable facility designed to meet temporary or fixed toilet needs in scenic spots and other locations.

I. Basic Components Mobile toilets typically consist of core components such as fecal sewage storage tanks (or disposal units), floor slabs, sanitary ware, walls, washing equipment, water tanks, roofs, and moving devices. Some high-end models are also equipped with additional facilities such as public hand-washing areas, heated murals, and thermal insulation doors. For example, the double-roof mobile toilet produced by Dezhou Hongtu Metal Products Co., Ltd. features a front wall decorated with Great Wall panels, double doors in the middle to enhance thermal insulation performance, and a spacious interior for women's toilets. The classic four-squat mobile toilet adopts a galvanized steel frame structure, with sliding windows on the exterior wall and a public hand-washing area and partitions inside, balancing practicality and comfort.

II. Core Features

  1. Portability: It can be moved as a whole through lifting, handling, or powered towing, enabling rapid deployment to crowded areas in scenic spots or temporary event venues, avoiding the issues of long construction periods and fixed locations associated with traditional toilets.
  2. Combinability: It supports the combination of single structures or composite structures. For example, multiple squat modules can be combined into a large toilet group to meet the needs of different-scale scenarios.
  3. Reusability: Made of corrosion-resistant materials (such as galvanized steel frames) and featuring a modular design, it can be disassembled, transported, and reassembled multiple times, reducing long-term usage costs.

III. Classification Methods

  1. By structural form: Divided into single structures (independent units) and composite structures (multi-module combinations).
  2. By moving method: Including lifting-type (requiring lifting equipment), handling-type (by manual or small mechanical handling), and powered towing-type (with its own power or towable by a vehicle).
  3. By sewage treatment method:
    • Water-flush and non-water-flush suction types: Rely on water tank flushing or vacuum suction for cleaning, requiring regular cleaning of the fecal storage tank.
    • Recirculating water-flush type: Achieves sewage recirculation through biodegradation or physical filtration, reducing water consumption.
    • Dry-packing type: Uses biodegradable bags to collect feces, requiring no water, suitable for water-scarce or environmentally demanding scenarios.

Mobile toilets effectively solve the problems of difficult layout and high maintenance costs of toilet facilities in scenic spots through flexible deployment and diverse designs, becoming an important infrastructure for modern tourism public services.
