Portable Pet Toilet
Admin September 24, 2026
Portable pet toilets are mainly divided into two categories: dog toilets and smart cat toilets, with their design features and functions as follows:

Dog Toilets:
- Invention Background and Applicable Scenarios: Invented by a Dutch company in 2004, dog toilets primarily serve individuals who are unable to walk their dogs daily due to busy work schedules or living conditions. Their core function is to guide dogs to excrete in a fixed location, simplifying the cleaning process.
- Structural Design: Usually used in conjunction with pet diapers, dog toilets are designed in three types: flat-panel, grid-type, and fence-type. Flat-panel toilets have a simple structure suitable for small dogs; grid-type toilets separate excreta from the pet's contact surface through a grid, facilitating cleaning; fence-type toilets prevent excreta from splashing out through edge design.
- Materials and Functions: Made of high-strength resin material, dog toilets have an interlayer inside for placing special diapers. The diapers need to have strong water absorption and odor removal properties, and the hygiene environment is maintained through regular replacement. Some high-end models may include non-slip bases or detachable trays to further enhance convenience.
Smart Cat Toilets:
- Automation Functions: Taking the Xiaopei Smart Cat Litter Box MAX PRO as an example, it is equipped with an electric poop-scooping and one-click sand-changing system. After a cat excretes, the device automatically initiates the cleaning process, transferring feces to a collection bin while turning the cat litter to keep the surface dry and reduce odor diffusion.
- Capacity and Applicability: With a 76L ultra-large inner chamber, it can accommodate multiple cats simultaneously, and the 8L collection bin design extends the sand-changing cycle, making it suitable for multi-cat households. The collection bin is sealed to prevent odor leakage, and some models are equipped with an activated carbon filter layer for further air purification.
- Mobility Convenience: Equipped with rollers at the bottom for easy position adjustment or cleaning; the handle design facilitates carrying, preventing internal cat litter from spilling during movement. Some models support APP remote monitoring, allowing real-time viewing of the collection bin status or receiving cleaning reminders.
Common Advantages of Both Products: Both reduce cleaning difficulty through modular design and prioritize durability and environmental friendliness in material selection. Dog toilets focus on guiding excretion behavior through physical structure, while smart cat toilets rely on automation technology for “zero-contact” cleaning. Users can choose the appropriate model based on pet type and usage needs.
