Portable Mobile Toilet

Admin September 20, 2026

A portable mobile toilet is a facility that can be moved as a whole and set up at fixed or temporary locations to provide toilet services for the public and customers.

I. Composition Structure A portable mobile toilet generally consists of a fecal sewage storage tank (or fecal sewage treatment device), floor, sanitary ware, walls, washing equipment, water tank, roof, and moving device. Initially, most of its manufacturing materials were wood, with a simple structure and function, and it was prone to absorbing odors. Later, materials such as fiberglass and polyethylene were gradually adopted, improving durability and odor resistance.

II. Classification Methods

  1. By structural form: They are divided into single-structure mobile toilets and composite-structure mobile toilets. Single-structure toilets are usually independent units, suitable for scenarios with limited space or temporary needs; composite-structure toilets are composed of multiple units and can meet larger-scale usage requirements.
  2. By moving method: This includes lifting and handling-type mobile toilets, which rely on external equipment (such as cranes and forklifts) for position adjustment; and powered and trailer-type mobile toilets, which are equipped with power systems or trailer devices and can move autonomously by being towed by vehicles.
  3. By sewage treatment method: They are classified into water-flush and waterless-flush suction-type, circulating water-flush type, and dry-packing type. Water-flush types rely on water for flushing and require supporting sewage storage or treatment devices; waterless-flush suction types collect feces through vacuum suction and are suitable for water-scarce environments; circulating water-flush types achieve water reuse through filtration and purification; dry-packing types use biodegradable garbage bags to directly package feces, without the need for water sources and sewage pipes.

III. Core Advantages Portable mobile toilets have the characteristics of being movable, combinable, and easy to transport. They can be quickly deployed to temporary event sites (such as music festivals and sports events), natural disaster relief areas, or remote regions to solve toilet problems. Their modular design supports flexible addition or reduction of units according to needs and can be reused repeatedly, reducing long-term construction costs. For example, a portable outdoor mobile toilet tent paired with a folding toilet is suitable for emergency use during self-driving trips; a portable small toilet with a raised urinal design is convenient for solving urgent urination problems when traveling with children, demonstrating its scenario adaptability.
