Methods for Making Plastic Mobile Toilets

Admin October 07, 2026

There are mainly three types of methods for making plastic mobile toilets, and you can choose a suitable plan according to your needs:

I. Transforming a Large Plastic Bucket into a Mobile Toilet

  1. Main Structure Construction: Horizontally cut a large plastic bucket at the one-third mark, keeping the bottom two-thirds as a fecal storage container. Cut a piece of wood that matches the size of the bucket's opening, install four universal wheels as a mobile base, and fix the wood to the outside of the bucket body with screws, adding wooden strips for reinforcement.
  2. Door and Enclosure Design: Use a cutting machine to create a rectangular opening on the front of the bucket body as an entrance. Wrap the edges of the opening with wood to form a door frame. Install aluminum-plastic panels on the extended part of the wood to raise the enclosure to an appropriate height. Attach a processed wooden door to the door frame with hinges and paint it with white waterproof paint.
  3. Drainage and Flushing System: Drill a hole on the side of the bucket bottom and connect a drainage pipe. Prepare another plastic bucket as a water storage tank and drill holes on its side and bottom to install water pipe connectors. Make a showerhead with PVC pipes and install a valve. Connect it to the water pipe at the bucket bottom through a three-way connector to form a flushing system. For the toilet part, connect a PVC pipe from the center of the bucket bottom to a septic tank in advance and install a sink on the branch of the water inlet pipe.

II. Transforming a Plastic Bucket into a Wall-mounted Urinal

  1. Urinal Production: Mark a trapezoidal outline on the water outlet area of the cut plastic bucket, cut out a urinal opening with an angle grinder, and sand the edges until smooth.
  2. Flushing System Installation: Seal one end of a water pipe, connect the other end to a reducing connector and fill it with sand. Heat it and bend it into an arc and drill a hole to form a flushing valve. Connect the arc-shaped water pipe through a three-way connector, fix the flushing valve with glue on the upper part of the urinal, and seal-connect the reducing connector inside with the water outlet using glue.
  3. Fixing and Debugging: Paint the entire urinal white, fix it to the wall below the sink with screws, connect the drainage pipe to the sewer, and test the water flow flushing effect.

III. Emergency Mobile Toilet Solutions Using Common Items

  1. Emergency Urination Solutions:
    • Diaper Filling Method: Take out the cotton and absorbent particles from diapers, put them into a sealed plastic bag, and use the high absorbency to quickly absorb urine.
    • Ready-made Mobile Toilets: Directly purchase children's special mobile toilets (about 4 yuan each), which are suitable for short-term emergency use.
  2. Emergency Defecation Solutions:
    • Large Plastic Bag Method: Lay a large garbage bag in a vehicle or a fixed container, seal and discard it after defecation.
    • Cardboard Box Combination Method: Use a small cardboard box and line its bottom with a plastic bag to form an enclosure, protecting privacy and facilitating cleaning.
  3. Absorbency Enhancement Tips: Add superabsorbent polymers (such as those in sanitary napkins) to the sealed bag. When exposed to water, the outer packaging will melt, quickly solidifying the excreta and reducing odors and leakage risks.

The above plans can be flexibly selected according to the difficulty of obtaining materials, usage scenarios, and budget. When making them, pay attention to the structural stability and tightness to ensure hygiene and safety.
