Materials of Plastic Mobile Toilets

Admin September 21, 2026

The main materials of plastic mobile toilets include color-coated steel plates, high-density polyethylene (HDPE) plastics, and foam materials. The characteristics and functions of each material are as follows:

Main Frame: Color-Coated Steel Plate Edging

The main frame of plastic mobile toilets is typically edged with color-coated steel plates. Color-coated steel plates are composite materials made of colored coating steel plates and base plates (such as galvanized steel plates), featuring high strength, corrosion resistance, and ease of processing. Their surface coatings can effectively resist erosion from rainwater, humid environments, and chemicals, extending the structural service life. Additionally, color-coated steel plates can be quickly formed through bending and welding processes, meeting the modular design requirements of mobile toilets. Furthermore, the edging with color-coated steel plates enhances the overall structural stability, preventing deformation of the outer shell due to external impacts or long-term use.

Outer Shell: High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) Plastic

The outer shell is the core material of plastic mobile toilets, commonly made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) plastic. HDPE is a thermoplastic resin with the following characteristics:

  • Corrosion Resistance: HDPE exhibits excellent resistance to acids, alkalis, salts, and other chemicals, adapting well to complex outdoor environments and preventing damage from prolonged exposure to rainwater, stains, or cleaning agents.
  • UV Resistance: By adding UV absorbers, the HDPE outer shell effectively blocks ultraviolet radiation, preventing material aging and embrittlement, ensuring that the original strength and appearance are maintained after long-term use.
  • Ease of Cleaning: The smooth surface of HDPE makes it difficult for stains to adhere and is wear-resistant. Daily cleaning only requires rinsing with water or wiping, reducing maintenance costs.
  • Lightweight and Environmental Friendliness: HDPE has a low density, reducing the overall weight of the mobile toilet, facilitating transportation and installation. Additionally, the material is recyclable, meeting environmental requirements.

Inner Layer: 5mm Thick Foam Material

The inner layer of the mobile toilet is filled with 5mm thick foam material (usually polystyrene or polyurethane foam), with the following main functions:

  • Thermal Insulation: The foam material has a low thermal conductivity, effectively blocking external temperature changes, maintaining a stable internal temperature in the toilet, and enhancing user comfort, especially in cold or hot regions.
  • Impact Protection: During transportation, the foam layer absorbs vibrations and impacts, reducing collision damage between the outer shell and internal facilities (such as water tanks and toilets), lowering transportation risks.
  • Sound Insulation: The foam material absorbs some of the noise generated during use (such as flushing sounds), improving the user experience.

In summary, plastic mobile toilets achieve the design goals of structural stability, strong weather resistance, ease of maintenance, and functional diversity through the combination of color-coated steel plates, HDPE plastics, and foam materials. They are widely used in scenic spots, construction sites, temporary events, and other scenarios.
