Pingliang Rural Mobile Toilet Renovation
The renovation of mobile toilets in rural areas of Pingliang mainly involves promoting the popularization of sanitary toilets, adopting diversified renovation models, and applying mobile toilets.

Promoting the Popularization of Sanitary Toilets
Pingliang City actively promotes the rural toilet revolution, vigorously constructing and renovating rural household toilets. Taking Zhuanglang County as an example, by 2025, 200 rural household sanitary toilets will be built in Shuiluo Town, enabling the county's sanitary toilet coverage rate to reach 80.07% of permanent households. The total estimated investment for the project is 600,000 yuan, with funding sources including provincial toilet revolution subsidies and county-level financial funds for promoting rural revitalization. As of the relevant time, the coverage rate of rural household sanitary toilets in Pingliang City has increased to 80.5%. Meanwhile, a fecal waste collection and treatment system that combines household renovation with centralized and single-household decentralized treatment has been established, equipped with fecal suction vehicles and pumps, effectively addressing the issue of fecal waste treatment and improving the rural sanitary environment.
Adopting Diversified Renovation Models
In specific renovations, Pingliang City adopts various models according to local conditions. For instance, in Kangjia Village, Yudu Town, Jingchuan County, in 2021, the attic-style composting dry toilet model was used to renovate the toilets of 229 households. Based on the original household toilets, this model adds exhaust pipes, special dry toilet commodes, and other facilities. The ventilation exhaust pipes promote air circulation and reduce odor generation; the well-sealed dry toilet commodes prevent mosquito and fly breeding and facilitate the harmless treatment of fecal waste, significantly improving overall sanitary conditions compared to traditional dry toilets.
Applying Mobile Toilets
Mobile toilets also exist in Pingliang. Their core is an independent functional unit that integrates waste treatment, space construction, and environmental adaptation. The treatment methods include storage-type, biodegradation-type, and circulating flushing-type. The toilet body is integrally formed using high-strength lightweight materials, with necessary functional modules such as commodes, sinks, ventilation, and lighting pre-installed in the factory. After being transported to the site, they can be put into use after connecting water and electricity. These mobile toilets can be quickly deployed in temporary event venues at tourist attractions, construction sites, or areas with insufficient infrastructure. Their operation and maintenance form an independent technical closed loop, relying on distributed waste removal services and inspections to provide convenient and sanitary toilet solutions for different scenarios.
