Admin September 17, 2026

The Pingdingshan Container Hotel House is a low-carbon, eco-friendly resort complex primarily composed of container houses, with the Laomangu Container Resort in Wugang, Pingdingshan, serving as a representative example.

Project Overview

The Laomangu Container Resort in Wugang, Pingdingshan, has invested nearly ten million yuan and consists of dozens of container guest rooms. The project was constructed in two phases. Phase I commenced in early May and was completed by June 20th, with road hardening and greenery around the containers, creating a courtyard landscape with a different view at every step. Phase II involved the deployment of all container houses, forming a comprehensive resort area. On May 6th, 2017, the container hotel construction project, a collaboration between Xinxiang Tianhong Integrated Housing and Wugang, Pingdingshan, officially began. By May 8th, all 11 container houses in Phase I were erected and deployed in just three days. The container hotel features 11 containers with various functions, including hotel accommodation containers, hotel living room containers, modular container buildings, and container observation decks. It offers complete hotel facilities with diverse and colorful designs. Phase I consists of 11 container house units, totaling six guest rooms, which are divided into three single-container guest rooms, one double-story container villa, one double-container suite, and one triple-container reception center.

Design Features

Container houses are assembled through modular combinations, forming a building style reminiscent of building blocks, with avant-garde and creative exteriors. Flowers and plants are planted around the containers, contrasting with the hardened roads, creating an ambiance that blends nature with industrial style. The hotel is distributed in a stepped manner across the mountain, with each room's floor-to-ceiling observation windows offering unique landscape experiences. The container colors vary, and each guest room features large observation windows that open exclusively to mountain views.

Functions and Advantages

Environmental Protection: Container buildings promote sustainable resource utilization and reduce the consumption of traditional building materials, meeting eco-friendly requirements. Construction Efficiency: Compared to traditional hotels, container houses have shorter construction periods and require less engineering work, allowing for rapid deployment. Comfort: Through interior decoration and sound insulation treatment, the living experience in container guest rooms is comparable to that of traditional hotels, with flexible spatial layouts. Creativity: The stacked building appearance is unique, satisfying consumers' demands for personalized accommodation.
