Waterproof Glue for Outdoor Portable Toilets
The selection of waterproof glue for outdoor portable toilets should be based on material properties and usage scenarios. Currently, there is no dedicated product, but the following materials can meet waterproofing needs:

1. Epoxy Resin Transparent AB Glue
Epoxy resin AB glue is formed by mixing two components and curing. It has high strength, chemical resistance, and excellent waterproofing properties. Its transparent nature facilitates observation of construction results. After curing, it forms a dense waterproof layer that effectively blocks water penetration. It is suitable for sealing details such as seams and pipe connections in portable toilets, especially for metal or rigid plastic substrates. It is important to mix the components in the correct ratio and stir thoroughly to avoid incomplete curing due to incorrect proportions.
2. Polyurethane Waterproofing Materials
Polyurethane materials are known for their good elasticity and aging resistance. They can form a flexible waterproof membrane that adapts to minor substrate deformations without cracking. Some polyurethane coatings have single-component moisture-curing properties, making them easy to apply directly to concrete, wood, or metal surfaces to form a seamless waterproof layer. They have excellent weather resistance and are suitable for long-term outdoor exposure, but it is essential to ensure that the substrate is dry and clean to avoid affecting adhesion.
3. Acrylic Pure Acrylic Materials
Acrylic waterproof coatings use water as the dispersion medium, are environmentally friendly and non-toxic, and form an elastic membrane after drying that combines breathability with waterproofing. The pure acrylic system is resistant to UV aging and can withstand outdoor temperature variations, making it suitable for waterproofing the roofs or exterior walls of portable toilets. During application, attention should be paid to the ambient temperature (usually above 5°C), and the coating thickness should meet the product requirements (generally 1-2mm) to ensure waterproofing effectiveness.
4. Universal Transparent Waterproof Leak Repair Sprays
These products are mostly synthetic polymer emulsions that form a transparent waterproof membrane when sprayed, making them easy to operate and suitable for local repairs or quick waterproofing needs. For example, silane-modified polymer sprays can penetrate the substrate's pores to form a water-repellent layer while maintaining surface breathability. However, it should be noted that their durability is limited, and regular maintenance may be required for long-term outdoor use.
Construction Recommendations:
- Substrate Preparation: Clean the surface of oil and dust, ensuring it is dry and free of visible water;
- Detail Handling: Fill seams with sealant before applying the waterproof layer;
- Multi-Layer Application: Apply 2-3 coats according to product instructions, applying in a cross direction to enhance coverage;
- Water Closure Test: Conduct a 24-48 hour water closure test after construction to confirm no leakage.
If the main body of the portable toilet is made of ABS plastic, refer to the special glue process in its waterproof and moisture-proof design, but ensure compatibility between the glue and the substrate to avoid chemical corrosion.
