Outdoor Portable Toilet Production
Admin September 23, 2026
Outdoor portable toilets can be made using water storage barrels or tanks and pallets. Here are the specific production methods:

Production Using Water Storage Barrels
- Basic Structure Construction: Take a water storage barrel from home and use an angle grinder to split it in half lengthwise. Fix universal wheels at the four corners of a wooden board for easy mobility. Attach several wooden strips to the upper side of the barrel with self-tapping screws to increase height, preparing for the installation of walls and a roof later.
- Door and Wall Construction: Use the angle grinder again to cut an opening on the side of the water storage barrel. Install sponge strips on both sides of the opening to form a door frame. Insert plastic soft boards between the wooden strips to create elevated walls. Place the upper half of the water storage barrel on top of the wooden strips to form a roof. Paint the wooden strips with white waterproof paint to enhance aesthetics. Use foam strips to拼接 (assemble) discarded honeycomb wooden boards to make a simple door, and cut holes in the door to install connectors.
- Drainage and Water System Installation: Cut a hole at the bottom of the barrel and install a drain pipe to form a floor drain. Cut holes on the side and bottom of a plastic bucket and connect them with direct connectors. Place the plastic bucket on the roof to form a small water storage device. Connect the bath heater made of water pipes, install a three-way connector below the inlet pipe, and connect a showerhead. Place the toilet on the drain pipe opening, install the water tank, and secure it with glass glue. Connect the drain pipe to a sewage tank. Horizontally connect a water pipe to the three-way connector of the outlet pipe and extend it to the door as the inlet pipe for a sink.
Production Using Water Storage Tanks and Pallets
- Mobile Base Preparation: Fix universal wheels at the four corners of the bottom of a pallet using tools. Place a water storage tank retrieved from a garbage station on the pallet.
- Tank Processing and Assembly: Use an angle grinder to cut along the marked line on the top of the water storage tank to remove the top, forming an open-top tank. Invert another open-top water storage tank and stack it on top of the first tank, securing the frames of the two tanks with self-tapping screws.
- Internal Facility Installation: Cut a rectangular opening in the frame of the water storage tank and cut the tank body accordingly to form a doorway. Cut a hole in the floor inside the water storage tank, insert a elbow from the bottom upwards, connect it to a water pipe, and seal it with glue. Cut off the excess water pipe. Align the toilet with the drain opening and secure it with glue. Fix a water pipe on the wall clips and install a faucet. Secure a pipe cap with screws below the faucet, connect a water pipe to the pipe cap, and cut a hole as the outlet for the drain pipe. Apply glass glue to the pipe cap and secure a sink made of a stainless steel basin. Connect the inlet pipe to the toilet water tank, connect the shower hose, and install a showerhead bracket and toilet seat. Install a spray-type showerhead made of water pipes.
- Door Installation: Bring a wooden board and fix hinges on the frame of the water storage tank. Attach the other side of the hinges to the wooden box to form a door. Install a door handle on the door.
