Outdoor Portable Toilet Installation Method
Admin October 07, 2026
The installation of outdoor portable toilets needs to be adjusted according to specific types and scenarios. The comprehensive steps are as follows:

I. General Installation Preparations
- Site Confirmation: Choose a flat and solid ground, avoid low-lying areas with water accumulation, and reserve at least 0.5 meters of operating space around to ensure convenient installation and maintenance.
- Tool Preparation: Equip with basic tools such as an electric drill (with a 4.2-millimeter drill bit), a rivet gun, a wrench, and a screwdriver. Supplement with auxiliary tools like anti-slip gloves and a tape measure as needed.
- Personnel Coordination: Arrange dedicated personnel to assist with the installation. Designate the work area and prohibit unrelated personnel from entering to avoid safety hazards.
II. Main Structure Installation
- Single/Composite Structure Toilets:
- Insert the inner corner plates into the slots one by one and align them. Drill holes with the drill bit, insert rivets, and fix them with the rivet gun.
- Move the main body to the designated location by lifting or dragging, and adjust the bottom legs to ensure it is placed horizontally.
- Waterless Packing Toilets:
- Support both ground-mounted and buried installation methods. No need to connect to sewage pipes, suitable for waterless areas, construction sites, or scenic spots.
- Powered/Trailer-mounted Toilets:
- Need to be towed to the designated location by a vehicle. The installation steps are similar to those of lifting-type toilets, but additional checks on the fixation and safety of the towing device are required.
III. Functional System Connection
- Drainage System: Connect the drainage pipe to the municipal sewer or designated collection pool. Check the tightness of the joints to ensure no leakage.
- Water and Electricity Connection:
- The power supply should be operated by a professional electrician. Private connections are prohibited. The water inlet (if any) should be connected to a clean water source.
- For circulating water flush toilets, configure the water circulation device in advance and test the water circulation effect.
IV. Internal Inspection and Debugging
- Check whether components such as doors, locks, and flushing systems are functioning properly. Clear sharp objects or debris inside.
- Test the functions of emergency buttons, lighting, ventilation, and other equipment to ensure they comply with safety regulations.
V. Post-installation Precautions
- Clean the surrounding environment and place a 'Cleaned' sign to avoid misunderstandings by users.
- Train users on the flushing method, the location of emergency buttons, and daily usage precautions.
- Regularly inspect the equipment. If blockages or damages are found, contact for repair in a timely manner to extend the service life.
Special Tip: If obtaining portable toilets through a leasing service, you can request the supplier to provide installation and debugging services, with professional technicians assisting on-site. The specific steps should be based on the manufacturer's instructions to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
