Outdoor Mobile Toilet Water Tank Supply

Admin October 06, 2026

There are four common types of water tank supply for outdoor mobile toilets: built-in water tank type, external tap water connection type, groundwater extraction type, and rainwater collection type.

Built-in water tank type is currently the mainstream water supply method. Its core structure involves equipping a large-capacity water tank on the top or side of the toilet, with a capacity typically ranging from 100 to 500 liters. The water supply system delivers water from the tank to the sinks and flushing devices in each toilet cubicle through a water pump or gravity. When the water level in the tank drops to a set threshold, manual replenishment is required using a watering cart or water transport vehicle. The advantage of this method is that it does not rely on external water sources, offering strong mobility and being particularly suitable for temporary scenarios without fixed water sources, such as construction sites and large outdoor events. However, attention should be paid to matching the tank capacity with the usage frequency to avoid frequent replenishment affecting operational efficiency.

External tap water connection type achieves continuous water supply by directly connecting the toilet's water supply pipeline to the municipal tap water network or a temporary water supply pipe, utilizing tap water pressure. This method does not require manual replenishment, has low usage costs, and offers high water supply stability, making it suitable for scenarios close to water sources, such as urban temporary renovation areas and scenic spots. However, it is necessary to ensure that the water supply pipeline is firmly connected to avoid leakage problems caused by pressure fluctuations or pipeline aging.

Groundwater extraction type is suitable for remote areas with groundwater, such as mining areas and border outposts. Groundwater is extracted to the water tank using a small water pump and then supplied to the toilet. Before use, the quality of the groundwater should be tested to ensure it meets hygiene standards, avoiding equipment lifespan or user health issues due to water quality problems. This method can reduce reliance on external water sources but requires regular maintenance of the water pump equipment.

Rainwater collection type is an environmentally friendly water supply method that involves setting up rainwater collection troughs on the top of the toilet, filtering the rainwater, and then导入 (importing/diverting it into the water tank for use as non-potable water (such as for flushing and cleaning). This method is suitable for rainy regions and scenarios with high environmental requirements, such as ecological campsites and green building projects. Its advantage lies in reducing reliance on external water sources and lowering water costs, but it is necessary to consider the balance between rainwater collection efficiency and water demand, as well as the maintenance of the filtration system.
