Outdoor Mobile Toilet Sewage Tank
The sewage tank of an outdoor mobile toilet is an important component used for storing fecal sewage. Its material, type, and function vary depending on the design of the mobile toilet.

Types of Sewage Tanks and Sewage Treatment Methods
Mobile toilets can be classified into various types based on sewage treatment methods, and those involving sewage storage or treatment use sewage tanks. For example, water-flush and non-water-flush suction-type mobile toilets store sewage in sewage tanks, which are later cleaned using suction equipment. Recirculating water-flush mobile toilets may collect sewage in sewage tanks for treatment and subsequent reuse. Dry-pack mobile toilets, on the other hand, directly collect feces in packing bags, with the sewage tank possibly used only for storing a small amount of flushing water.
Materials of Sewage Tanks
The material of a sewage tank is usually consistent with the overall structure of the mobile toilet and may include stainless steel, plastic, color-coated steel, steel structure, fiberglass-reinforced plastic, and aluminum-plastic panels. Stainless steel is highly corrosion-resistant and suitable for long-term outdoor use. Plastic is lightweight and cost-effective, but high-strength engineering plastics should be selected to avoid deformation. Fiberglass-reinforced plastic combines light weight with corrosion resistance and is a common choice. Steel structures require the use of anti-corrosion coatings and are suitable for large mobile toilets. Color-coated steel and aluminum-plastic panels are mainly used for decorative purposes, with other materials still needed for the interior of the sewage tank.
Customized and Intelligent Design
Some mobile toilet companies offer customization services, allowing the size and layout of sewage tanks to be designed according to user needs and site conditions. For example, in spaces with limited room, sewage tanks may adopt a flattened design. In scenarios requiring long-term use, capacity may be increased or sealing enhanced. Additionally, sewage tanks in intelligent mobile toilets may integrate sensors to monitor liquid levels in real-time and automatically trigger alarms, or be equipped with disinfection modules for automatic cleaning without human intervention. Some high-end models also feature functions such as wave-sensing seat cover replacement and instant ventilation to enhance the user experience.
Maintenance and Cleaning
Sewage tanks require regular cleaning to prevent blockages or odors. Water-flush mobile toilets are usually equipped with sewage suction ports for quick cleaning using suction trucks. Recirculating water-flush types need regular replacement of filter materials, while dry-pack types require replacement of packing bags. Intelligent designs can simplify the maintenance process, such as automatic disinfection functions reducing the need for human intervention.
