Materials for Outdoor Mobile Toilets

Admin September 27, 2026

The main materials for outdoor mobile toilets include galvanized steel structures, reinforced concrete, metal frames (stainless steel and galvanized steel plates), anti-corrosion wooden boards, PVC plastic boards, aluminum ceiling tiles, HPL high-pressure laminates, and phenolic resin high-pressure boards, among others. Here is a detailed introduction to these materials:

  1. Overall structural materials
The main frame of outdoor mobile toilets usually adopts galvanized steel structures. This material forms a dense zinc layer on the surface of the steel through hot-dip galvanizing, effectively isolating moisture and oxygen, significantly enhancing corrosion resistance, and is particularly suitable for humid or rainy environments. The floor foundation part uses reinforced concrete as the base, enhancing structural strength with steel bars and providing stable support with concrete, ensuring the overall stability of the toilet while being wear-resistant and resistant to settlement.

  2. Metal frame materials
Some mobile toilets use stainless steel or galvanized steel plates as frame materials. Stainless steel forms an oxide film due to the presence of chromium, providing extremely strong corrosion resistance, suitable for coastal or highly polluted areas; galvanized steel plates protect the base material with a zinc layer, are cost-effective, and easy to process, but have slightly lower durability than stainless steel. Both have high strength characteristics and can effectively resist external impacts.

  3. Panel materials

    • Anti-corrosion wooden boards: Wood treated with special processes (such as pressure impregnation with preservatives) can resist fungal and insect infestation, suitable for natural-style designs, but require regular maintenance to prevent cracking.
    • PVC plastic boards: Made of polyvinyl chloride as the base material, they have excellent waterproof and moisture-proof properties, are lightweight, and easy to clean, often used for interior walls or partitions.
    • Aluminum ceiling tiles: Made of aluminum alloy, stamped and formed, with a surface coating treatment, they have moisture-proof, impact-resistant, and stain-resistant properties, and are designed to be detachable for easy maintenance.
    • HPL high-pressure laminates: Formed by high-pressure lamination of multiple layers of kraft paper impregnated with resin, they have high surface hardness, excellent waterproof, stain-resistant, and wear-resistant properties, suitable for high-frequency use scenarios.
    • Phenolic resin high-pressure boards: Formed by high-pressure compounding of phenolic resin and fiber materials, they have a seamless, one-piece structure, are moisture-proof, stain-resistant, and easy to clean, often used in areas with high hygiene requirements.
  4. Material selection criteria
Material selection should comprehensively consider the usage environment (such as humidity and temperature), budget, and maintenance costs. For example, in humid areas, galvanized steel structures, PVC boards, or phenolic resin boards are preferred; for high-traffic scenarios, HPL boards or aluminum ceiling tiles are suitable; for those pursuing a natural appearance, anti-corrosion wooden boards can be chosen. The combination of metal frames and high-pressure panels can balance durability and aesthetics, while concrete foundations ensure long-term stability.
