Outdoor Mobile Toilet Installation

Admin September 24, 2026

The installation of outdoor mobile toilets should be systematically carried out from three aspects: pre-installation planning and site selection, technical operations during installation, and post-installation inspection and maintenance. The specific key points are as follows:

Pre-installation: Scientific Planning and Site Selection

  1. Site Condition Assessment Conduct a comprehensive assessment of the terrain and geology, selecting flat and solid ground. Avoid low-lying areas, slopes, or regions with soft soil to prevent rainwater accumulation or settlement that could cause the facilities to tilt or sink. Additionally, confirm the absence of hidden facilities such as underground cables and pipelines to avoid damaging infrastructure during installation.
  2. Location Convenience and Environmental Impact The site selection should balance user convenience and environmental friendliness. Position the toilets near main activity areas or pedestrian paths for easy access by users. However, maintain an appropriate distance from dining areas and water sources, and consider the prevailing wind direction throughout the year. Place the toilets downwind of residential or activity areas to minimize odor impact. Furthermore, reserve sufficient passage space to facilitate the suction and maintenance operations of cleaning vehicles.
  3. Quantity and Layout Planning Scientifically estimate the required number and type ratio of mobile toilets based on pedestrian traffic, event duration, and gender ratios (e.g., distinguishing between male and female toilets). In terms of layout, arrange multiple units in an orderly manner with appropriate spacing to facilitate easy access for personnel and promote ventilation and subsequent maintenance operations.

Installation Process: Strict Control of Technical Key Points

  1. Foundation Treatment and Fixation For short-term use, distribute pressure through pads or gravel. For medium- to long-term placement, pour a simple concrete foundation or use dedicated ground anchor fixation devices to prevent the facilities from shifting or toppling in wind and rain.
  2. Level Adjustment and Stability Use a level to calibrate the facilities, adjusting the base feet or inserting stable materials to ensure a level state. This prevents automatic door opening and closing or abnormal operation of the flushing system and waste storage tank, while ensuring the tank body remains stable without shaking.
  3. Pipe and Power Connections (if applicable) For flushing functions requiring water supply, connect a flexible water supply hose with a secure, leak-free interface, and route the water pipe away from pedestrian paths. When lighting requires connection to the mains electricity, it should be operated by a professional electrician in compliance with outdoor electrical safety regulations, with proper waterproofing and leak protection measures in place. For solar lighting, ensure the photovoltaic panels are installed at a reasonable angle and are unobstructed.
  4. Auxiliary Facilities and Signage Setup Install anti-slip pedals and simple handrails around the perimeter (especially for accessible toilets), and place prominent directional signs (e.g., male, female, accessible signs) and usage instructions. Queue guidance facilities can be set up at the entrance.

Post-installation: Comprehensive Inspection and Maintenance Preparation

After installation, inspect the facility's levelness, fixation stability, pipe interface tightness, and power supply safety to ensure there are no risks of leakage, shaking, or electric shock. Additionally, establish a maintenance plan to regularly clean the waste storage tank and inspect equipment status, ensuring long-term normal use.
