Outdoor Mobile Toilet Deodorization System
Admin October 07, 2026
The outdoor mobile toilet deodorization system achieves efficient deodorization through ventilation design, multiple deodorization technologies, and scenario-specific optimization. The specific measures are as follows:

I. Ventilation System Design
Ventilation is the foundation of deodorization, rapidly expelling odors through air circulation.
- Dual-Mode Ventilation: It employs a combination of "natural air intake + mechanical exhaust". The natural air intake is located at the bottom of the toilet, utilizing air density differences to create an upward airflow; the mechanical exhaust fan is installed on the roof, forcibly expelling odors outdoors through negative pressure. For example, the Wuhai Outdoor Jiahe mobile toilet is equipped with bidirectional ventilation ducts on its roof, utilizing natural wind to create air circulation, while also being fitted with low-power dust-proof fans for forced ventilation under windless conditions.
- Backflow Prevention and Purification: The exhaust ducts are designed with U-shaped bends to prevent odor backflow; an activated carbon filter (with an adsorption efficiency of ≥90%) is installed at the outlet to further purify the emitted gases and reduce environmental pollution.
II. Deodorization Technology Applications
Multiple approaches, including chemical, biological, and physical methods, are used in synergy to target different odor components.
- Chemical Decomposition: Slow-release deodorizing agents are added to the waste storage tank. These agents use decomposition enzymes to rapidly liquefy solid waste and inhibit the production of malodorous gases such as hydrogen sulfide, reducing odors at the source.
- Biological Degradation: For long-term use scenarios, biological degradation agents containing EM (Effective Microorganisms) can be optionally equipped. EM can decompose organic matter into odorless compost materials, achieving ecological deodorization.
- Physical Barrier: Toilets use U-shaped water seals or silicone gaskets to effectively block odor backflow; waste tanks are equipped with air pressure balancing valves to prevent odor diffusion during waste removal, ensuring airtightness during use.
- Plant Extract Deodorization: A雾化 (atomizing) device sprays plant extract deodorizing agents (mainly composed of natural plant extracts). Their molecules react with odor molecules (such as hydrogen sulfide and ammonia) through neutralization, generating odorless substances. A single spray can last 4-6 hours, suitable for high-frequency use scenarios.
- Photocatalytic Decomposition: Titanium dioxide (TiO₂) is used to generate highly oxidative free radicals under ultraviolet light, decomposing odor molecules into carbon dioxide and water. This technology achieves a deodorization efficiency of over 95%, requires no filter replacement, and has a service life exceeding 5 years, making it suitable for long-term maintenance.
III. Scenario-Specific Optimization
System parameters are adjusted according to climatic conditions and usage requirements to enhance adaptability.
- Climate Adaptation: In areas with strong ultraviolet radiation (such as Wuhai), ventilation openings use anti-aging ABS materials, and wind-resistant fixtures can withstand winds up to Force 8. During summer high temperatures, ventilation frequency is increased (15-20 air exchanges per hour) to lower the internal temperature and reduce bacterial growth; in winter, a heating mode is activated, with the ventilation system automatically adjusting to intermittent operation to prevent duct freezing.
- Functional Expansion: Some mobile toilets are also equipped with intelligent monitoring systems that detect odor concentration inside the tank in real-time and automatically adjust ventilation or spraying frequency for dynamic deodorization management.
