How to Build an Outdoor Mobile Toilet

Admin October 08, 2026

There are mainly three types of construction methods for outdoor mobile toilets: customized construction, installation of complete finished products, and construction according to different classification criteria. Here are the details:

Customized construction based on the on-site environment and requirements: This method fully takes into account the uniqueness of the usage site. First, the toilet's design style should be determined according to the on-site environment. For example, if it is built in a scenic spot, the toilet's appearance can be designed to blend in with the surrounding natural landscape, such as using a wooden structure with a thatched roof, making it seem like a natural part of the scenery without causing any abruptness to the overall view. If it is in an urban commercial district, a modern and minimalist style can be adopted to coordinate with the surrounding architectural styles. Second, the number of stalls should be determined based on the passenger flow. For large-scale event venues with high passenger flow, more stalls need to be built to meet the usage needs of a large number of people. In small parks or communities with relatively low passenger flow, an appropriate reduction in the number of stalls can avoid resource waste.

Installation of complete finished products without civil engineering: This construction method offers great convenience. It does not require digging a septic tank or carrying out complex civil engineering works. The entire installation process is like building with building blocks. First, the columns are installed to build the basic frame structure of the toilet. Then, each part is assembled and fixed. Every buckle is carefully designed to connect seamlessly, ensuring the stability and airtightness of the toilet. This method not only saves a significant amount of construction time and labor costs but also reduces damage to the surrounding environment, making it suitable for various emergency or temporary usage scenarios.

Construction classified by structural form, mobility method, and sewage treatment method:

  • By structural form: It can be divided into single-structure mobile toilets and composite-structure mobile toilets. Single-structure mobile toilets are relatively independent and have a simple structure, suitable for places with limited space or high flexibility requirements. Composite-structure mobile toilets are composed of multiple parts and have richer functions, which can meet different usage needs.
  • By mobility method: It can be divided into lifting and handling mobile toilets and powered and towed mobile toilets. Lifting and handling mobile toilets can be lifted and handled by lifting equipment, suitable for places that require frequent movement. Powered and towed mobile toilets have their own power systems or can be moved by being towed by vehicles, making movement more convenient and fast.
  • By sewage treatment method: It can be divided into water-flush and waterless suction mobile toilets and circulating water-flush mobile toilets. Water-flush mobile toilets use water to flush away excrement, providing good cleaning effects. Waterless suction mobile toilets collect excrement through suction without using water, making them suitable for areas with scarce water resources. Circulating water-flush mobile toilets recycle the flushing water, which is more environmentally friendly and energy-saving.
