Outdoor Mobile Toilet Blocked
Admin October 05, 2026
When an outdoor mobile toilet is blocked, you can choose the corresponding unclogging method based on the cause of the blockage. The common causes of blockage and unclogging methods are as follows:

Common Causes of Blockage
- Excessive soft materials: A large amount of toilet paper accumulates and cannot be flushed away in a timely manner.
- Hard objects falling in: Keys, bottle caps, plastic toys, etc., get stuck in the pipes.
- Pipe aging or design flaws: Scale and corrosion build up on the inner walls of the pipes, reducing the pipe diameter; or the design is unreasonable, with too many bends and insufficient slopes.
- Users throwing in debris or excessive fecal volume: Feces and paper scraps and other substances cannot flow through.
- Low temperature: When the temperature is below -5℃, if the flushing system is not insulated, the residual water in the pipes freezes and expands.
Unclogging Methods
- Blockage by soft materials
- Plunger unclogging: Align the plunger with the drain, press it firmly and then pull it up quickly. Repeat several times to unclog using the pressure difference.
- Unclogging with a drain cleaner: Pour an appropriate amount of drain cleaner according to the instructions, wait for 15-30 minutes, and then flush with a large amount of clean water.
- Hot water flushing: Slowly pour in boiling hot water to soften the blockage, and then use a plunger or clean water to unclog.
- Blockage by hard objects
- Wire hook unclogging: Insert a wire bent into a hook shape into the drain, hook the hard object, and slowly pull it out.
- Pipe auger unclogging: Insert the head of the pipe auger into the drain, rotate the handle to push it forward, break up or push the blockage, and then flush with clean water.
- Blockage due to pipe aging or design flaws
- High-pressure water jet flushing: Use high-pressure water to冲击 (the more appropriate word here could be 'blast') the pipes, adjust the angle and position of the nozzle, and observe whether the pipes are unclogged after flushing.
- Pipe replacement: If the aging is severe or the design flaws cannot be resolved, the pipes need to be replaced.
- Blockage due to low temperature
- Slow pouring of warm water: Avoid direct impact of hot water. Pour warm water onto the pipes.
- Check the flushing system: Ensure that the power supply or pressure supply is normal.
- Contact professionals: Use special thawing tools to unclog. Never use an open flame or high-temperature equipment to directly heat the pipes.
