Ordinary Container House Installation Diagram
Admin September 15, 2026
The installation of an ordinary container house mainly includes steps such as bottom frame installation, secondary beam installation, floor laying, and overall fixation.

Bottom Frame Installation
- Connection of the container bottom corners and bottom beams: On a flat ground or workbench, connect the container's bottom corners to the bottom beams. Use hex socket bolts for initial fixation, but do not fully tighten them at this stage to allow for subsequent adjustments.
- Adjustment and tightening: Adjust the bottom frame to ensure that the diagonal differences do not exceed 3mm, and then tighten all bolts. This step is crucial for ensuring the stability and structural strength of the container house.
Secondary Beam and Floor Substrate Installation
- Installation of π-shaped secondary beams: According to the positioning hole positions on the long beams, install the π-shaped secondary beams and fix them using m5.519 self-tapping screws. At the same time, additional fixation is required between the π-shaped secondary beams and the top of the bottom beams using st4.816 round-head self-drilling screws to enhance structural stability.
- Laying of floor substrates: The floor substrates (usually magnesium oxide boards) should be laid along the 6-meter direction. Both ends of the substrates are pre-punched, but they need to be cut at an angle according to the drawn chalk lines to ensure a perfect fit with the container structure.
Floor Laying and Fixation
- Preparation for floor laying: Mark the centerline of the π-shaped beams to prepare for laying the floor and subsequent nailing.
- Floor laying and fixation: Start laying the floor from one end, ensuring that the joint between two floor pieces aligns with the centerline of the π-shaped beam. After laying the floor, snap a chalk line on the floor according to the centerline mark of the π-shaped beam and fix the floor along the chalk line using st4.2*38 cross-recessed flat-head self-tapping screws, with a nailing interval controlled between 300-350mm.
Overall Polishing and Floor Adhesive Laying
- Floor polishing: Polish the entire floor, especially the seams between the boards, to ensure a flat and smooth floor surface.
- Laying of floor adhesive: Apply PVC-specific floor adhesive on the floor and wait for 10-15 minutes before laying the floor adhesive sheet. When laying, expel the air between the floor adhesive sheet and the substrate to ensure a flat and bubble-free floor adhesive sheet. If possible, weld the joints of the floor adhesive sheet to enhance sealing and durability.
