Orchard Mobile Toilet

Admin September 21, 2026

When choosing a mobile toilet for an orchard, it is necessary to comprehensively consider four dimensions: structural materials, functional types, thermal insulation and durability, and customization adaptability.

I. Structural Materials and Workmanship
The main frame should preferably be made of steel structure, which has high strength and strong wind pressure resistance, ensuring overall stability. It is essential to pay close attention to the wall thickness of the steel (recommended to be ≥2mm) and the anti-rust treatment process, such as hot-dip galvanizing or spray coating, which can effectively extend the service life. Additionally, inspect the welding or assembly process to ensure smooth welds, firm connections, and smooth opening and closing of doors and windows without jamming, avoiding safety hazards caused by structural looseness.

II. Functional Types and Configurations
Choose the appropriate type based on the infrastructure conditions of the orchard:

  • Dry Toilet: Does not require a water supply and drainage system, relying on a waste storage tank or biodegradation technology (such as adding microbial agents). It is flexible to install and suitable for remote orchards without a water source or sewage pipes.
  • Flush Toilet: Offers an experience closer to that of a traditional toilet but requires connection to a septic tank or sewage pipes, making it suitable for fixed locations near villages or with existing infrastructure. For example, when Dong Yuhui's team was live streaming in a Huili orchard in Sichuan, they chose to bring their own flush mobile toilets and regularly remove the waste, meeting the team's needs while avoiding environmental pollution.

III. Thermal Insulation and Durability Design

  • Wall Insulation: Use materials such as polyurethane foam boards or rock wool, with a recommended thickness of ≥50mm, to effectively resist freezing in winter and exposure to high temperatures in summer.
  • Roof Waterproofing: Select PVC or TPO waterproof membranes, with a slope design of ≥5° to prevent water accumulation.
  • Ventilation and Insect Prevention: Install rain-proof vents at the top with built-in insect screens to prevent mosquito and fly infestations.
  • Internal Materials: Use non-slip floor tiles or epoxy resin coatings for the floor and easy-to-clean PVC panels or tiles for the walls to reduce maintenance costs.

IV. Customization Adaptability

  • Scale Adjustment: Choose the number of toilet compartments based on the orchard's foot traffic (such as 2-compartment or 3-compartment units), with a recommended single compartment size of ≥1.2m×1.5m.
  • Layout Optimization: The door opening direction can be customized to left or right to accommodate the location of obstacles on the site.
  • Appearance Integration: Choose simple styles in white, gray, etc., or spray the orchard's logo to harmonize with the surrounding environment.

Market Reference: The price of a simple steel-structured dry toilet starts at approximately 446.5 yuan, while a high-end flush direct-discharge model starts at around 1150 yuan. Eco-friendly models (such as those made of aviation aluminum panels) can start at 1000 yuan per square meter, with customization available upon request.
