One-End Opening Container House

Admin September 17, 2026

A one-end opening container house is an integrated housing style with the main entrance and exit set on one end face, suitable for scenarios such as independent offices and dormitories, featuring high space utilization and a regular layout.

I. Common Types and Characteristics

  1. Standard Packing Box/Container House
It adopts a Z-shaped or standard box-type structure, with double doors set at one end. The walls are mostly rock wool or glass wool sandwich panels, providing fire resistance, thermal insulation, and sound insulation. The external dimensions are typically 6055×2990×2760mm, with an internal area of about 18 square meters, suitable for use as a standard office or single-person dormitory. Its advantages are stable structure and good sealing performance. For example, the products of Suzhou Zhongnan Steel Structure Co., Ltd. have a wind resistance rating of up to Level 12 and an earthquake resistance rating of Level 8. Its disadvantages are heavy self-weight (about 1.5 tons), high transportation and hoisting costs, and high requirements for the flatness of the foundation ground.

  2. Folding Integrated House
Its core advantages are easy installation and efficient transportation. After folding, its volume is only one-third of that in the expanded state. It can be formed through hoisting and side panel flipping, with the door usually designed at the end face. It is suitable for construction sites or temporary camps that require frequent relocation, offering high flexibility. Its disadvantages are that its overall strength and sealing performance are slightly inferior to those of standard boxes, and special attention should be paid to the waterproof performance of wall connections after long-term use.

  3. Expandable/Butterfly Box Integrated House
It adds lateral or end expansion mechanisms to the basic box body, significantly increasing the usable area after expansion. The end face retains the main door design, and the expanded part is equipped with additional windows or side doors to optimize lighting and ventilation. It has extremely high space utilization and is suitable for homestays, camp houses, or small conference rooms. Its disadvantages are complex structure and high cost, and it requires professional personnel to install and maintain hydraulic or manual expansion mechanisms.

II. Key Purchase Parameters

  1. Wall Material and Thickness
It directly affects thermal insulation, heat insulation, and fire resistance performance. Rock wool and glass wool have a fire resistance rating of Class A, but their thermal insulation performance is slightly weak. Polyurethane has excellent thermal insulation performance but average fire resistance. EPS has good thermal insulation performance but poor fire resistance. In cold northern regions, it is recommended to choose rock wool or glass wool walls with a thickness of more than 100mm, with a thickness range typically from 50mm to 150mm.

  2. Structural Material and Anti-Corrosion Treatment
The main frame is mostly made of high-strength galvanized steel or hot-rolled section steel, and the thickness of the galvanized layer (such as Z275) determines the corrosion resistance. Structural stability is a core safety indicator. For example, the all-steel structure frame of Suzhou Zhongnan Steel Structure Co., Ltd. has a maximum deformation of only 2mm under strong winds of Level 12, far below the national standard limit of 10mm.
