Recently, a resident in Hefei, Anhui, reported to the police that a mobile toilet in their yard had been stolen. After reviewing surveillance footage, the police traced the stolen toilet to the back of a supermarket. The supermarket operator, surnamed Xia, admitted that she had conspired with two men to steal the toilet. On the evening of August 29, Xia and the two men moved the rarely used roadside mobile toilet to the downstairs area of her residence.
Reason for Theft
Xia stated that she has a 90-year-old mother at home who takes a long time to use the toilet, affecting other family members. Additionally, with a large family and only one bathroom, conflicts often arose among family members over toilet use. Every day, as she passed by the roadside mobile toilet, she would deliberately observe it and noticed that it was rarely used, leading her to the idea of taking it home.
