The Weidong District Health Commission in Pingdingshan City, Henan Province, tendered for 22 convenient nucleic acid testing sampling booths with a unit price not exceeding 50,000 yuan. The budget for nucleic acid sampling booths and workstations at Xiaozhan Hospital in Jinnan District, Tianjin, reached 78,000 yuan. There are also differences in quotes from manufacturers. For example, the nucleic acid sampling booths produced by the company where Li Yong works are priced at 6,600 yuan for a single-person unit and 7,000 yuan for a double-person unit, both including tax but excluding freight. Zhang Zhi, a local manufacturer for a biotechnology company, stated that the quoted price for a single-person nucleic acid sampling booth purchased by dealers is 22,900 yuan, and for a double-person unit, it is 35,000 yuan. For medical institutions, the prices are 37,000 yuan for a single-person unit and 70,000 yuan for a double-person unit. In addition, there is a mobile toilet nucleic acid sampling booth with a waterproof structure in Weifang, Shandong, priced at 5,000 yuan per set. There are also customized nucleic acid testing sampling stations with anti-slip aluminum panels in Beijing, priced at 988 yuan per set.
Reasons for price differences: Different prices correspond to different construction standards. Lower-priced ones are usually simple nucleic acid sampling booths without air conditioning and filtration systems. Higher-priced ones are mostly positive and negative pressure cabins equipped with positive and negative pressure fresh air systems that can ensure a pressure difference between the inside and outside. Theoretically, sampling personnel do not need to wear protective suits. They are also equipped with high-efficiency air filtration systems and air conditioning to improve the sampling environment for personnel.
