Normal Size of Mobile Toilet Door

Admin September 28, 2026

The normal size of a mobile toilet door should be determined based on the specific type and usage requirements. Common specifications are as follows:

1. Single-leaf Sliding Door
The clear width of a single-leaf sliding door should be reserved at least 650mm, typically marked as a 700mm door opening on architectural drawings. This size can meet the normal passage needs of a single person while providing reasonable space for door installation and sliding. If space is limited, it can be appropriately reduced to 600mm, but this may affect comfort, especially when carrying items or for those with mobility issues.

2. Double-leaf Sliding Door
The clear passage width of a double-leaf sliding door should be guaranteed to be 650mm, with the total width of the door usually being 1300mm (i.e., 650mm for each leaf). If it needs to support the simultaneous passage of two streams of people (such as in public places or high-traffic areas), the door width should be expanded to 2200mm (1100mm for each leaf) to avoid congestion. Such designs should be considered in combination with the spatial layout and pedestrian density.

3. Optimized Solution for Small Bathrooms
For bathrooms with a small area, it is recommended to use a 60cm-wide sliding door or folding door. Sliding doors save space required for opening by sliding horizontally, while folding doors can be completely folded to one side, further reducing the occupied area. Such designs are particularly suitable for family or compact public bathrooms and can effectively improve space utilization.

4. Height Standards
The height of a mobile toilet door is usually 1900mm to 2100mm, kept flush with other room doors to maintain overall visual harmony. The specific choice should be based on the user's height and spatial proportions: 1900mm is suitable for ordinary residences, while 2100mm is more common in public buildings or scenarios requiring enhanced transparency.

Precautions:

  • The size design should reserve an installation tolerance (usually ±5mm) to avoid the door body being unable to slide or close normally due to construction deviations.
  • If there are special facilities in the bathroom (such as barrier-free facilities), the size should be adjusted according to relevant regulations. For example, the clear width of a barrier-free sliding door should be no less than 800mm.
  • The material choice (such as aluminum alloy, PVC) may affect the thickness of the door body, which should be taken into account when calculating the total width.
