Mobile Toilets in Night Markets

Some night markets have plans or demands for mobile toilets, but it is not clear that mobile toilets are widely installed and in normal use.

Based on the available information, there are differences in the installation of mobile toilets among different night markets. On the one hand, there are calls to place more mobile toilets at appropriate locations in night markets, reflecting that the issue of "difficulty in finding toilets" is a prominent problem in some night markets, and adding mobile toilets is considered an effective way to solve this problem. For example, in some large-scale night markets with heavy foot traffic, due to the limited number or unreasonable distribution of existing public toilets, it is difficult to meet the needs of a large number of tourists and vendors. Therefore, some people propose to place more mobile toilets at appropriate locations in night markets to improve the convenience of using toilets.

On the other hand, there are also night markets where mobile toilets have not been installed. Taking Jiefang Road Longsheng Night Market as an example, there are no public toilets or mobile public toilets installed inside or around the market, resulting in difficulties for the public in finding toilets. Some people have requested rectification and urged the competent authorities to supervise the night market operators to add mobile public toilets as soon as possible. This case shows that not all night markets have realized the importance of mobile toilets, or have not installed them yet due to various reasons (such as site limitations, funding issues, etc.).

Currently, there is no clear information indicating that there are night markets where mobile toilets have been widely installed and are in normal use. This may be because the installation of mobile toilets requires comprehensive consideration of multiple factors, including the scale of the night market, foot traffic, site conditions, operating costs, etc. Moreover, even if mobile toilets are installed, effective management and maintenance are required to ensure their normal use and hygiene. Therefore, it will take some time and effort to widely install and normally use mobile toilets in night markets.
