Nanchang Fireworks Equipped with Mobile Toilets

Mobile toilets were equipped during the Nanchang fireworks show to meet the needs of tourists.

Equipment Situation

• 2024 National Day Fireworks Show: The urban management department of Nanchang made thorough preparations, arranging 3 mobile toilet trucks that provided a total of 30 squatting positions. At the same time, relevant urban areas also prepared 600 single mobile toilets. The provision of these mobile toilets aimed to cope with the potential peak in tourists' toilet needs and offer convenience to visitors.
• 2026 Spring Festival Welcome Fireworks Show: The Nanchang Urban Management and Comprehensive Law Enforcement Bureau also attached great importance to tourists' toilet issues, synchronously equipping mobile toilet trucks and 600 single mobile toilets as emergency supplements. In addition, Honggutan District took proactive actions before the show, arranging about 300 mobile toilets by February 16 and providing sufficient management personnel to ensure the normal use and hygiene of the mobile toilets.

Activation Rules

Due to the relatively limited capacity of mobile toilets, which cannot meet the toilet needs of all tourists, the Nanchang urban management department formulated reasonable activation rules. During the fireworks show, mobile toilets will be activated with a delay based on real-time pedestrian traffic. This means that when the pedestrian traffic is relatively low, mobile toilets may not be immediately put into use to avoid waste of resources. When the pedestrian traffic increases and fixed toilets cannot meet the demand, mobile toilets will be activated in a timely manner to provide emergency toilet services for tourists.

Usage Suggestions

To ensure that tourists can use the toilets smoothly, the Nanchang urban management department suggests that tourists give priority to using fixed toilets nearby. Fixed toilets are usually distributed in various corners of the scenic spots, with a large number and well-equipped facilities, which can meet the toilet needs of most tourists. At the same time, tourists can also pay attention to the activation status of mobile toilets. When the pedestrian traffic is high or there are long queues at fixed toilets, they can choose to use mobile toilets to save time and improve the efficiency of their sightseeing.
