Nanchang Cement Prefabricated Houses
Nanchang's cement prefabricated houses mainly refer to a large number of houses built in the old city area in the 20th century, using prefabricated cement slab insulation and waterproofing techniques. Currently, pilot projects for roof renovation are being carried out to address related issues.

Current Situation and Problems of Houses
A large number of houses in the old city area of Nanchang were built in the 20th century, generally using prefabricated cement slab insulation and waterproofing techniques. After decades of exposure to the elements, these roofs have suffered severe damage, with their insulation and waterproofing functions largely lost. This not only subjects residents to extreme heat in summer and difficulty in keeping warm in winter but also affects the structural safety of the houses due to roof leakage, seriously impacting residents' daily lives. Additionally, some roofs have unauthorized constructions, and the problem of garbage accumulation is also prominent, further worsening the living environment.
Implementation of Renovation Work
To address the above issues, Nanchang has taken the promotion of urban renewal as an important starting point and planned and launched pilot projects for roof renovation of houses in the old city area. This renovation focuses on five key areas, involving 417 houses with a total roof area of approximately 233,100 square meters, of which residential housing accounts for about 155,100 square meters. The renovation work focuses on addressing prominent issues such as roof leakage and loss of insulation function, aiming to improve residents' living quality and enhance the city's appearance.
Renovation Strategies and Measures
During the renovation process, Nanchang avoids a one-size-fits-all approach. Instead, it organizes local governments to conduct comprehensive surveys, forming a database of pilot houses to provide data support for subsequent work. At the same time, technical guidelines are compiled to clarify renovation standards and technical requirements, ensuring that the renovation work is scientific and standardized. Tailored plans are developed for each house based on its actual situation, ensuring that renovation measures are precise and effective. Currently, the renovation work is progressing in an orderly manner and is planned to be fully completed by the end of November. Through this renovation, the roof problems of cement prefabricated houses in the old city area of Nanchang will be effectively resolved, and residents' living environments will be significantly improved.
