Mobile Toilets at Nanchang Bayi Square

Admin October 08, 2026

During the National Day flag-raising ceremony at Nanchang Bayi Square in 2025, the distribution and functions of the surrounding mobile toilets are as follows:

To meet the needs of the audience during the National Day flag-raising ceremony, various types of mobile toilet facilities have been added around Nanchang Bayi Square. The specific distribution and functional designs are centered on enhancing convenience and comfort in use.

I. Distribution of Ground-Level Mobile Toilets

  1. North and West Sides of Bayi Square: Fifteen single-unit public toilets are set up on each side, totaling 30. These single-unit public toilets typically feature an independent box structure with basic toilet functions. They are equipped with squat toilets or sit-down toilets, hand-washing basins, and ventilation systems. Some may also be equipped with barrier-free facilities. These toilets are widely distributed to disperse crowd pressure and prevent long queues in specific areas.
  2. East Side of Bayi Square: Three mobile toilet vehicles are provided. These mobile toilet vehicles are designed in an integrated manner, usually containing multiple independent toilet stalls (such as separate stalls for men and women or unisex stalls). They are also equipped with water tanks, sewage disposal systems, and air-conditioning units, offering a relatively high level of environmental comfort. Their mobility allows them to quickly respond to changes in crowd flow and adjust their parking positions if necessary.

II. Supplementary Underground Fixed Toilets
There is a fixed restroom in the underground passage of Bayi Square, with four stalls each for men and women. Although this restroom is relatively small in scale, as a supporting facility in the underground space, it provides convenience for the audience who want to avoid the ground-level crowd or need to use the restroom nearby. Its location is relatively concealed and requires guidance signs in the underground passage for positioning.

III. Purpose and Effects of Adding Mobile Toilets
The addition of these mobile toilets is mainly based on two considerations:

  • Event Support: During the National Day flag-raising ceremony, the audience is dense, and the capacity of the original fixed toilets is insufficient. Mobile facilities can quickly expand toilet resources and avoid disorder or safety hazards caused by queuing.
  • Experience Enhancement: By reasonably distributing different types of toilets (such as single-unit public toilets with wide coverage, mobile toilet vehicles with high comfort, and underground toilets filling blind spots), diverse needs are met, with particular attention to the convenience of use for special groups such as the elderly, children, and people with disabilities.

IV. Usage Suggestions
The audience can choose the nearest toilet according to their location: In areas with dense ground-level crowds, priority should be given to using the single-unit public toilets on the north and west sides; audience members on the east side can go to the mobile toilet vehicles; if they are in the underground passage or need to quickly solve their needs, they can use the underground fixed restroom. During the event, it is advisable to plan the route in advance and avoid using the toilets during peak hours to improve efficiency.
