Movable Room Toilet

Admin September 28, 2026

A movable room toilet, also known as a portable toilet, is a facility that can be moved as a whole to provide public restroom services.

Portable toilets are generally composed of several parts, including a fecal sewage storage tank (or fecal sewage treatment device), flooring, sanitary ware, walls, washing equipment, water tanks, roofs, and mobile devices. These components work together to ensure the normal operation of the portable toilet. For example, the fecal sewage storage tank is used to collect and treat excreta, the sanitary ware provides basic tools for using the restroom, and the mobile device facilitates the overall movement of the toilet.

In terms of structural form, portable toilets can be divided into single-structure portable toilets and composite-structure portable toilets. Single-structure portable toilets are relatively independent and simple, suitable for places with limited space or high flexibility requirements; composite-structure portable toilets are composed of multiple parts and have richer functions to meet the needs of different groups of people.

According to the method of movement, there are lifting and handling portable toilets, and powered and towed portable toilets. Lifting and handling portable toilets usually require lifting equipment for movement and are suitable for large-scale events or construction sites; powered and towed portable toilets can be moved by vehicle traction or their own power, making them more flexible and convenient, and are often used in tourist attractions and temporary exhibitions.

In terms of sewage treatment methods, portable toilets are divided into water-flush and waterless-flush suction portable toilets, circulating water-flush portable toilets, and dry-packing portable toilets. Water-flush and waterless-flush suction portable toilets treat excreta through water flushing or suction; circulating water-flush portable toilets recycle the flushing water to save water resources; dry-packing portable toilets dry-pack the excreta for easy subsequent treatment and transportation.

For example, a double-compartment portable restroom is 2.5 meters long, with a single-sided layout and a public sink area in the middle. It uses sheet metal spraying technology and is paired with aluminum-plastic panels on the front. An independent portable toilet has a fixed box room inside, equipped with a sit-down toilet and a pedestal sink. There is a洗漱镜 (washbasin mirror) above the sink, and the interior space is spacious, suitable for both men and women, and ideal for temporary venues or scenic spots.
