Modular Housing Prefabricated Production

Admin September 18, 2026

Modular housing prefabricated production involves breaking down a building into independent unit modules, completing the manufacturing in a factory, and then transporting them to the site for assembly.

In terms of the production process: Taking Broad Homes Industrial Group Co., Ltd. as an example, its process of producing prefabricated concrete (PC) components is similar to automobile manufacturing. The concrete workshop mixes materials such as sand, gravel, and cement in proportion; the U-shaped steel bar production workshop bends steel bars into various angles; the steel bar truss welding machine is responsible for welding steel bar trusses; and the prefabricated cement board workshop carries out operations such as positioning of embedded parts, spraying release agents, laying steel bars, pouring cement, and manual finishing, after which the products enter the curing chamber. China State Construction Hailong Intelligent Construction Industrial Park adopts a similar model. Some scattered components are first produced separately on different floors and then sent to the final assembly platform, where welding robots and highly automated methods are used to complete the final assembly. This park can deliver 20,000 to 30,000 modules annually.

In terms of production advantages: Factory prefabricated production adopts parallel operations and also utilizes automated three-dimensional warehouses and intelligent production lines. Compared with traditional construction, the construction period can be shortened by more than 60%. After the prefabricated modules are transported to the site, they can be assembled like building blocks, which is very convenient and efficient.

In terms of quality control: Each module has a detailed 'ID card' containing information such as the project name, product model, and production date. Moreover, the position of each steel bar needs to be precisely located, with error and precision controlled in millimeters to ensure the quality and stability of the housing. This refined quality control method enables modular housing to better guarantee construction quality during the building process, reduce potential quality issues that may arise later, and provide a safer and more comfortable living environment for occupants.
