Mobile Toilets for the Universiade
During the Chengdu Universiade, mobile toilets combined technological innovation with eco-friendly concepts to provide efficient, comfortable, and sustainable sanitation solutions for the event, covering three core types: vehicle-mounted vacuum toilets, smart toilets, and comprehensive service solutions.

Vehicle-mounted vacuum toilets prioritize efficient water conservation and environmental protection. They utilize vacuum suction technology for rapid waste disposal without leaving residual sewage, coupled with multiple negative pressure ventilation units to ensure efficient operation of the ventilation system and maintain a cool, dry interior environment. For odor control, a filtration module combining photocatalyst and activated carbon avoids chemical fragrance residues, providing fresh air. The space design emphasizes user-friendliness: handrail positions accommodate people of different heights, and non-slip flooring reduces safety risks. Water-saving performance is particularly outstanding, with a single flush requiring less than half a liter of water, saving over 80% compared to traditional water-flush toilets and significantly reducing water consumption.
Smart toilets focus on intelligence and user experience optimization. Custom-built by Zhonghe Qingshan Toilet Technology, these smart toilets integrate a fresh air system, deodorization system, and air conditioning to dynamically adjust temperature and humidity, creating a comfortable environment. Electronic screens display real-time data such as time, temperature, humidity, odor concentration, and daily usage counts, paired with a stall guidance system to help users quickly locate available stalls. Each stall is equipped with handrails, a one-touch emergency button, and offers both squat and toilet options to meet diverse needs. These toilets served the Chengdu Universiade and continued to the Chengdu World Games, demonstrating their technological maturity and adaptability to various scenarios.
Mobile toilet service solutions emphasize flexibility and full-chain support. Xuhu Mobile Restrooms provide independent units with built-in water tanks and odor-proof sealed fecal tanks, eliminating reliance on fixed water and power supplies and adapting to outdoor settings. A tiered configuration plan ranges from basic models to top-tier VIP units, allowing flexible adjustments based on event scale. The service ecosystem includes an emergency support system comprising sewage removal vehicles and cleaning teams, along with an intelligent networking cluster and back-end management system to ensure efficient operation and maintenance. The "modular leasing" model further reduces customer costs by allowing rental of specific modules as needed, optimizing sanitation budget allocation.
In summary, the mobile toilet system at the Chengdu Universiade achieved a balance of environmental protection, comfort, and cost-effectiveness through technological integration and service innovation, providing a replicable benchmark solution for sanitation support at large-scale events.
