Mobile Toilets for Traffic Jams
The idea of bringing mobile toilets during traffic jams has been discussed and practiced, with two main forms currently available: vehicle-mounted toilets developed by car companies and homemade portable toilets.

Vehicle-mounted Toilets Developed by Car Companies
Seres Automotive Co., Ltd. was officially granted a utility model patent for its "vehicle-mounted toilet and vehicle" on April 10, 2026. The toilet described in this patent adopts a slide-rail design, offering numerous advantages. Normally, it is concealed beneath the driver's and passenger's seats, not occupying any space inside the vehicle and ensuring normal use and activity areas. When needed, it can be easily pulled out with a single button, providing convenient and quick operation; after use, it can be pushed back into place. Additionally, it is equipped with a 5L sealed waste collection tank that effectively collects waste, preventing odor emission and leakage; a negative pressure deodorization system that quickly removes odors, keeping the air inside the vehicle fresh; a constant-temperature heating function that enhances comfort, especially in cold weather; disposable waste bags that facilitate easy replacement and disposal of waste; and a foldable privacy curtain that provides users with a private space, ensuring their privacy.
Homemade Portable Toilets
In addition to the development by car companies, some individuals also prepare homemade portable toilets to cope with traffic jams. For example, a woman brought a homemade portable toilet with her before departure. She used an empty mineral water bottle, inserted a plastic tube into it, and connected the top with a small bottle cut in half and wrapped with tape, thus creating a simple portable toilet. Although this homemade portable toilet is easy to make and low-cost, its functions are relatively simple, lacking the comprehensive facilities of vehicle-mounted toilets developed by car companies, such as deodorization and heating functions. However, in emergency situations like traffic jams, it can still solve the problem of going to the toilet to a certain extent.
Overall, both vehicle-mounted toilets developed by car companies and homemade portable toilets provide feasible solutions for going to the toilet during traffic jams. With the continuous development of technology and increasing demands, more advanced and practical mobile toilet products may emerge in the future.
