Installation of Mobile Toilet with Septic Tank

Admin October 12, 2026

The installation of a mobile toilet with a septic tank should follow standardized procedures to ensure stability, airtightness, and environmental compliance. The specific steps are as follows:

I. Preliminary Preparations

  1. Confirm Installation Location: Choose an area with higher elevation and smooth drainage, approximately 1.5 meters away from the main body of the mobile toilet, to avoid water accumulation or blockage due to low-lying terrain. If there are underground pipes or greenery nearby, plan the path in advance to minimize construction impact.
  2. Check Tools and Materials: Prepare tools such as shovels, tape measures, and wrenches. Verify that the specifications of accessories like PVC pipes, elbows, and sealing rings match to avoid rework due to size discrepancies.
  3. Communicate with Property Management: Inform them of the construction plan in advance and confirm whether any permits are required to avoid damaging existing pipes or greenery and ensure construction compliance.

II. Septic Tank Excavation and Positioning

  1. Excavation Depth and Diameter: Determine the size of the septic tank based on the model of the mobile toilet. Typically, excavate to a depth of about 1.2 meters and a diameter 20 centimeters larger than the main body of the septic tank to allow space for subsequent backfilling and securing.
  2. Bottom Treatment: Lay a 10-centimeter-thick layer of gravel and compact it to ensure the septic tank is placed steadily and avoid tilting or damage due to uneven ground.
  3. Horizontal Positioning: Use a level to calibrate the height of the septic tank's inlet and outlet to ensure alignment with ground pipes and prevent drainage issues or leakage due to height differences.

III. Pipe Connection Installation Process

  1. Inlet and Outlet Pipe Connection: Align the PVC pipes with the septic tank's inlet and outlet, seal them with sealing rings, and then fix the joints with glue to ensure a firm and leak-free connection.
  2. Odor Prevention Treatment: Install anti-backflow valves at pipe connections to prevent odors from returning and enhance the user experience.
  3. Ground Connection: Secure the pipe direction with concrete or bricks to prevent displacement due to trampling or external forces and ensure long-term stability.

IV. Backfilling and Commissioning

  1. Layered Backfilling: First, backfill gravel to 5 centimeters above the pipes, then compact it layer by layer with yellow soil to avoid settlement due to improper backfilling.
  2. Drainage Test: Open the inlet valve and observe whether the drainage is smooth. Check for leaks at the joints and promptly repair any issues.
  3. Septic Tank Cleaning: Before the first use after installation, empty the impurities in the tank to prevent blockage and affect subsequent use.

V. Precautions

  1. Regular Maintenance: Check the pipe's airtightness every quarter and clean the sediment to extend the equipment's service life.
  2. Winter Freeze Protection: In areas with low temperatures, wrap insulation cotton around the pipes to prevent freezing and cracking.
  3. Compliant Installation: Ensure that the connected pipes comply with local environmental requirements to avoid direct discharge of sewage and environmental pollution.
