Principle of Mobile Toilet Water Tank

Admin September 21, 2026

The principle of mobile toilet water tanks mainly involves water supply, initiation of the treatment process, and discharge treatment, among other aspects. Some types of water tanks also have unique automatic water outlet mechanisms.

Water Supply Unit

The water supply unit of a mobile toilet water tank is the foundation of its operation. A certain amount of clean water is pre-stored in the storage tank, and this clean water is used for flushing after each use. By reasonably designing the tank capacity, it can meet the flushing needs for a certain period of time or number of uses, ensuring the normal operation of the toilet.

Initiation of the Treatment Process

When the user finishes using the toilet and initiates the flushing action, the mixture of sewage and excreta enters the separation and preliminary treatment chamber located at the bottom of the tank body. In this chamber, the first step is physical separation, where solid substances are intercepted by a specific filtering device to prevent them from entering subsequent treatment stages and causing blockages or affecting treatment efficiency. Subsequently, biochemical treatment comes into play. Specific microbial communities in the treatment chamber use the organic pollutants in the sewage as nutrients for metabolic activities, decomposing them into water, gases, and a small amount of stable inorganic substances. This process significantly reduces the chemical oxygen demand and ammonia nitrogen content in the wastewater, effectively improving water quality. At the same time, the deodorization system operates independently, eliminating odor molecules through adsorption or chemical neutralization principles to prevent unpleasant odors in the toilet and enhance the user experience.

Discharge Treatment

After biochemical treatment, the liquid reaches specific discharge standards and becomes treated effluent. This treated effluent is directed to an independent discharge tank for storage, awaiting subsequent treatment. Under the premise of complying with local environmental protection regulations, it can also be extracted by professional service vehicles and transported to a sewage treatment plant for final disposal. The entire treatment and discharge process is completed in a closed loop within the equipment, without relying on external pipe networks. This gives mobile toilets high flexibility and adaptability, allowing them to be used in different locations.

Automatic Water Outlet Mechanism (for some types)

  • Siphon-type water tank: There is a U-shaped siphon tube with small holes, a water level valve for controlling water flow, and a bottom diaphragm valve in the water tank. When water slowly fills the water tank, the water level in the siphon tube rises accordingly. When the water overflows the top small holes, the entire tube turns into a state similar to a vacuum cleaner, drawing all the water out of the water tank. This whole process takes only 6 to 9 seconds, and the water tank must be installed 1.8 meters higher than the toilet.
  • Inductive water tank: It captures the heat emitted by the human body through an infrared sensor. After the person leaves, the solenoid valve immediately opens to release water, and it can also adjust the flushing time according to the situation. The pressure sensor in new equipment can control the water level error within 2 millimeters.
