Mobile Toilet Water Tank Installation Guide

Admin October 08, 2026

The installation of a mobile toilet water tank can be carried out according to the following steps, with adjustments made based on the actual type of water tank:

I. Preparation

  1. Tool and Accessory Inspection

    • Prepare tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, tape measures, impact drills (with 6mm drill bits), and spirit levels.
    • Confirm that all accessories are present, including the water tank body, inlet valve, outlet valve, sealing rings, fixing screws, and expansion tubes. Ensure that the rubber sealing rings are not damaged.
    • Turn off the main water valve to prevent leaks during installation.
  2. Environmental Assessment

    • The floor should be clean, dry, and level. If the deviation exceeds 3mm, leveling is required to prevent the toilet base from being suspended, which could lead to sealing failure.
    • For renovations in older buildings, check the electrical circuit capacity and recommend reserving an independent circuit with 4 square millimeter copper wire.

II. Positioning and Fixing

  1. Measurement and Marking
    • When replacing an old water tank, use a tape measure to determine the dimensions and installation height of the original tank. For new installations, place the tank against the wall (about 2-3cm from the top of the toilet ceramic body) and mark the positions of the fixing holes with a pencil.
  2. Drilling and Installing Expansion Tubes
    • Use an impact drill to make holes at the marked positions (about 5cm deep) and insert expansion tubes to enhance fixing strength.
  3. Fixing the Water Tank
    • Align the water tank with the expansion tubes, insert long screws, and tighten them with a wrench until the tank is flush with the wall (do not overtighten to avoid cracking). If the tank is integrated with the toilet, place a large sealing ring at the contact surface to prevent leaks.

III. Installing Drainage Components

  1. Outlet Valve Installation
    • Place the outlet valve into the drainage port at the bottom of the tank, fit a sealing ring (with the convex side facing down), and tighten it with a nut from the inside.
    • Adjust the height of the outlet valve (generally 5-8cm below the top of the tank) to ensure smooth drainage when the water level is reached.
  2. Drainage Pipe Assembly
    • If replacing the drainage pipe, connect the straight pipe to the elbow to form a complete drainage pipe and install it in the position of the old pipe (skip if the old pipe is retained).

IV. Connecting the Water Inlet System

  1. Inlet Valve Installation
    • Install the inlet valve at the side inlet port of the tank and tighten it after placing a sealing ring.
  2. Water Inlet Pipe Connection
    • Connect one end of the water inlet pipe to the inlet valve and the other end to the angle valve on the wall (wrap 2-3 turns of Teflon tape around the joint to prevent leaks). Open the angle valve to test the water flow and check for smooth water inlet and any leaks.
    • Some tanks require a hose to connect to the water inlet port; ensure a secure connection.

V. Testing and Finalization

  1. Water Level Testing
    • Observe whether the water tank automatically stops filling when it reaches the set water level.
  2. Flush Testing
    • Perform a flush test to check for smooth drainage and any leaks at the connections.
  3. Additional Steps for Smart Toilet Water Tanks
    • Measure the electrical load (≥1500W), water pressure (0.15-0.75MPa), and pit distance (305/400mm).
    • Reserve a power outlet (30cm from the ground, with a splash-proof box and a 16A three-pin socket).
    • The drainage pipe should be fully inserted, and avoid using a displacement device (which is prone to clogging).

Note: Different models of water tanks may include other small accessories. Follow the instructions strictly during installation, especially for detail components such as rubber rings.
