How Mobile Toilets Save Water
There are various ways for mobile toilets to save water, mainly including flush-free design, water-saving fixture modifications, water tank insert methods, pressure-boosted flushing, and dual-flush mode selection.

Flush-free design is one of the key methods for mobile toilets to conserve water resources. Flush-free mobile toilets do not rely on external water sources for flushing but instead treat waste locally through physical, chemical, or biological means. This design fundamentally eliminates dependence on water supply and drainage networks, achieving zero water consumption. In contrast, traditional water-flush toilets consume approximately six to twelve liters of clean water per use, making flush-free design significantly advantageous in terms of water conservation.
Water-saving fixture modifications are also an important means of water conservation for mobile toilets. Some mobile toilets are fully equipped with first-grade water-efficient toilets and sensor-activated urinals, which substantially reduce water usage while ensuring normal functionality. For older toilets, placing one to two filled water bottles or water-saving bricks in the water tank can save one to two liters of water per flush. Additionally, some advanced mobile toilets, such as the Inner Mongolia Jiahe mobile model, adopt unique water-saving designs, optimize water tank structures, and improve flushing efficiency, saving 30% to 50% of water per flush.
The water tank insert method is a simple and effective water-saving technique. Placing a filled plastic bottle (approximately one liter) in the toilet tank reduces the water volume per flush. Over the long term, a household can save several tons of water annually, and the same significant water-saving effect can be achieved for mobile toilets.
Pressure-boosted flushing enhances flushing efficiency by increasing water pressure, thereby reducing water consumption. Placing appropriate weights (such as small bricks) on both sides of the water tank can increase water pressure, making the flush more powerful while reducing water usage by nearly half per flush. This method ensures cleanliness while achieving water conservation goals.
Dual-flush mode selection provides a more flexible water-saving approach for mobile toilets. Mobile toilets equipped with dual-flush modes allow users to choose between a small or large water volume for flushing based on actual needs. For example, for minor stains like urine, a small water volume can be selected, while for heavier stains like feces, a large water volume can be chosen. This design meets cleaning requirements under different circumstances while effectively conserving water resources.
