How to Connect Water Pipes for Mobile Toilets
Admin September 27, 2026
The method of connecting water pipes for mobile toilets varies depending on their types. The connection methods for ordinary mobile toilets and those equipped with automatic toilets are different, as detailed below:

Steps for Connecting Water Pipes for Ordinary Mobile Toilets
- Plan the Water Route: First, discuss the specific water route in detail with the installation technician. This step is crucial as a reasonable route plan ensures smooth subsequent installation and avoids issues such as improper water pipe layout affecting usage or causing space wastage. For example, factors such as the usage location of the mobile toilet, the location of the water source, and the drainage location should be considered to make the water pipe connection both convenient and in line with actual needs.
- Fix the Clamps: Use an electric hammer to fix the clamps to the wall. The clamps are used to secure the water pipes, ensuring that they do not shake or shift during installation and use. When fixing the clamps, determine the spacing and position of the clamps reasonably according to the specifications and route of the water pipes to ensure that the clamps can firmly fix the water pipes.
- Hot-Melt Connect the Pipes: Start using a professional hot-melt machine to hot-melt connect the pipes. Hot-melt connection is a common and reliable connection method. By heating, the pipes and pipe fittings are melted and then fused together to form a well-sealed connection. When performing hot-melt connection, strictly follow the operating instructions of the hot-melt machine, control the heating time and temperature well to ensure the connection quality.
- Pressure Test: Use a pressure testing pump to conduct a pressure test on the entire pipeline. The purpose of the pressure test is to check whether there are any water leaks at the water pipe connections to ensure the water tightness of the water pipes. During the test, gradually increase the pressure, observe the reading on the pressure gauge, and maintain it for a period of time to check for any pressure drops or water leaks. If problems are found, repair them in a timely manner.
- Clean the Site: After completing the above steps, clean the site and remove the garbage and debris generated during the installation process to keep the environment clean.
Key Points for Connecting Water Pipes for Automatic Toilets (which may be equipped in some mobile toilets)
- Water Inlet Connection: Most of the water inlets come with their own water inlet hoses that are compatible with the corresponding specifications. If there is an exposed water pipe reserved at home, simply wrap the threads with the provided sealing tape and screw on the hose. If it is a concealed reserved opening, first confirm the height of the reserved opening. Generally, a height of 30 - 40 cm from the floor for the toilet's water inlet is the most appropriate.
- Interface Connection: There are generally three interfaces on the back of an automatic toilet. The water inlet interface is connected to the household tap water cold water pipe, and the drainage interface is connected to the household toilet drainage pipe. It is recommended to use a dedicated flange sealing ring. The cleaning water circuit interface does not need to be connected to an additional pipe externally and can be directly connected to the water inlet interface.
- Sealing Treatment: All threaded connection parts need to be wrapped with Teflon tape. Wrap it 5 - 8 times along the direction of the threads. For quick-connect water circuit interfaces, align them with the slots and press down the buckles.
- Inspection and Testing: After the connection is completed, first open the main water valve to observe whether there are any water leaks at the interfaces. At the same time, press the test button to check whether the cleaning water circuit and flushing function are normal.
