Installation of Water Inlet and Drainage for Mobile Toilets

Admin October 10, 2026

The installation of water inlet and drainage for mobile toilets should be carried out in combination with product design and on-site conditions, typically including three parts: water inlet system installation, drainage system installation, and special technical treatment. The specific steps are as follows:

I. Water Inlet System Installation

  1. Water Source Connection: Clean water sources (such as municipal water supply or storage tanks) need to be introduced into the toilet interior through pipes. It is recommended to use PVC or PE pipes for their corrosion resistance and low cost. Ensure that the connections are sealed to prevent leaks, and they can be fixed using hot-melt or adhesive bonding techniques.
  2. Water Tank or Flushing Device Connection: Depending on the type of toilet (such as direct-discharge or recirculating water type), connect the pipes to the water tank or flushing valve. For intelligent flushing devices, reserve a power outlet and ensure proper grounding for safety.
  3. Inspection Port Reservation: Set up inspection ports at key pipe nodes (such as elbows and tees) for easy maintenance later. The inspection ports should be located in accessible spaces and have satisfactory sealing performance.

II. Drainage System Installation

  1. Drainage Method Selection:
    • Gravity Drainage: Suitable for scenarios with lower terrain or direct connection to municipal sewage networks. Ensure that the pipe slope is ≥2% (i.e., a drop of 2 cm per meter) to prevent sewage backflow or blockage.
    • Pump Drainage System: Used for scenarios with higher terrain or no gravity drainage conditions. Install a sewage lift pump and configure a liquid level sensor to automatically control start and stop. The pump body should be fixed on a shock-absorbing base to reduce noise.
  2. Pipe Laying: It is recommended to use thickened PVC pipes for drainage pipes, and seal the joints with special adhesive. If connecting to a septic tank, install an anti-odor floor drain or water seal device at the end of the pipe.
  3. Septic Tank or Municipal Sewage Network Connection: If discharging into a septic tank, ensure that the tank capacity meets usage requirements and reserve a cleaning port; if connecting to a municipal sewage network, comply with local drainage standards and go through relevant approval procedures.

III. Special Technical Treatment (Recirculating Water Toilets)

  1. Filtration and Disinfection Equipment Installation: The recirculating water system needs to be equipped with multi-stage filtration devices (such as sand filters and activated carbon filter layers) and ultraviolet disinfection lamps to ensure water quality standards. Connect the equipment in the order specified in the instructions and reserve maintenance space.
  2. Regular Maintenance Requirements: The filtration device needs to be backwashed every 1-2 weeks, and the disinfection lamp needs to be replaced every six months. At the same time, regularly test the water quality pH value and residual chlorine content to prevent bacterial growth.

Precautions: Before installation, check the product instructions to confirm the positions of the water inlet and outlet and the pipe diameter requirements; the construction team should have relevant qualifications to avoid water leakage or odor problems caused by improper operation.
