Mobile Toilet Water Absorption and Solidification
Admin September 24, 2026
Mobile toilet water absorption and solidification is a process that uses specific materials to absorb liquid waste and form solid substances, facilitating easy transportation and reducing odors and pollution. This process is commonly found in products such as portable toilets, foldable toilets, and emergency urine bags.

Portable Toilet Water Absorption Solidifier
- Function: Primarily used for outdoor activities like traveling and camping, it absorbs liquid waste in toilets, transforming it into a solid, non-overflowing state for convenient subsequent transportation and proper disposal.
- Ingredients: Mainly composed of calcium carbonate and bentonite. Calcium carbonate, a natural inorganic compound, absorbs liquids to form solid needle-like or flake-like substances. Bentonite, a polymer compound, rapidly expands upon water absorption to form a gel-like substance that can fix waste and has certain antibacterial properties.
- Usage Method: Place an appropriate amount of water absorption solidifier in the toilet (about 20 - 30 grams each time). When the liquid in the toilet reaches a certain level, the solidifier begins to absorb the liquid and form solid substances. After treatment, dispose of the solid substances along with the toilet, either with other garbage or by burying them in sufficiently deep soil.
Foldable Toilet Solidifier
- Function: Addresses sanitation needs in outdoor emergency scenarios by rapidly solidifying excreta through chemical or physical actions, while suppressing odor diffusion and reducing liquid leakage and odor volatilization.
- Material Characteristics: Often utilizes polymer compounds or inorganic salt components, achieving solidification through water absorption and expansion or cross-linking reactions. For example, some products are mainly based on starch-based or cellulose derivatives, forming gel-like substances to wrap excreta upon contact with water. Others use calcium ion cross-linking technology to quickly convert liquids into semi-solids.
- Reaction Time: Typically controlled within 3 - 5 minutes, with a volume expansion rate after solidification that can reach several times, effectively increasing single-use capacity.
- Environmental Friendliness: High-quality products must pass biodegradation tests to ensure that the solidified substances can decompose in the natural environment, reducing pollution to soil and water sources. Ingredients should avoid containing phosphorus or other harmful chemicals. Some premium products add natural plant extracts as deodorizers, achieving long-lasting odor control by neutralizing odor molecules like ammonia.
Travel Appliance 'Mobile Toilet' (Emergency Urine Bag)
The bag contains solidifiers and bactericides that can rapidly absorb and solidify urine, killing bacteria and viruses in the urine. It is hygienic, environmentally friendly, and odorless, and can be carried conveniently.
