Mobile Toilet Waste Discharge
There are various methods for waste discharge in mobile toilets, mainly including water-flushing, microbial degradation, waterless packaging, foam sealing, and vacuum self-priming types.

Water-flushing waste discharge: There are two types: water-flushing waste discharge and direct water-flushing waste discharge. The former flushes excrement using municipal water supply or elevated water tanks and discharges it into sewage tanks or septic tanks. It requires connection to sewage pipes or regular pumping and is suitable for areas with convenient water access and sewage pipe networks, such as city streets and scenic area facilities. Its advantages are low construction costs, simple operation, and thorough flushing. However, it relies on water resources, and frequent pumping may be needed when the sewage tank capacity is limited, potentially causing overflow. The latter uses the force of water to directly discharge excrement into the municipal sewage pipe network or septic tanks. Usually, water tanks and flushing devices are installed in mobile toilets. It is suitable for areas with a complete sewage pipe network system, such as city centers, commercial areas, and tourist attractions. Its advantage is good cleaning effect, but it requires sufficient water sources and connection to the sewage pipe network.
Microbial degradation waste discharge: It uses microbial strains to decompose excrement. Feces are converted into fertilizer raw materials, and urine is treated and then recycled for toilet flushing. It is suitable for areas with high environmental protection requirements and no sewage pipe networks, such as ecological scenic areas and remote regions. Its advantages are no odor, harmless treatment, no need for flushing water, and a long collection cycle. However, the equipment cost is high, the microbial strains need to be replaced regularly, and the daily number of users is limited.
Waterless packaging waste discharge: It uses biodegradable environmental protection packaging bags to automatically seal excrement, which is then collected in a fecal storage tank for unified treatment. It is suitable for areas with water shortages or no sewage discharge conditions, such as field construction sites and temporary events. Its advantages are no need for water and electricity, water and electricity conservation, and convenient excrement collection. However, the packaging bags need to be replaced regularly, and the long-term use cost is relatively high.
Foam sealing waste discharge: It generates foam through a foaming agent to cover the toilet fixtures, replacing water flushing to achieve lubrication, toilet cleaning, and odor prevention. The foaming agent contains aromatic components. It is suitable for areas with water shortages or a high demand for efficient water conservation, such as scenic areas in arid regions and long-distance transportation vehicles. Its advantage is a water-saving rate of over 90%, requiring only a small amount of water to maintain the foam and having low operating costs. However, the equipment cost is relatively high, and the foaming agent needs to be replenished regularly.
Vacuum self-priming waste discharge: It uses a vacuum pump to generate negative pressure to suck excrement into the sewage tank, with a water consumption of only one-tenth of that of traditional toilets. It is suitable for scenarios with extremely high water-saving requirements and a need for efficient waste discharge, such as ocean-going ships and airplane toilets. Its advantages are water conservation, low sewage volume, flexible installation, and adaptability to various terrains.
