Mobile Toilet Wall Installation Method
Admin October 09, 2026
The installation of mobile toilet walls needs to be completed step by step according to specific types and scenarios, with the core processes including the construction of the basic structure, the embedding of water tanks and pipes, wall construction, main body installation, and acceptance and maintenance.

I. Basic Structure Installation
- Steel Frame Structure: For wall-mounted wall-discharge toilets (common in mobile toilets), a hidden steel frame needs to be installed first as a supporting framework. Made of high-strength steel, the frame is fixed to both the ground and the wall using expansion screws, forming a stable structure that can bear hundreds of kilograms. This step requires ensuring that the frame is level and vertical to avoid tilting during subsequent installation.
- Brick Wall Construction: In construction sites and other scenarios, some mobile toilets use red brick walls as false walls, typically with a thickness of 180-220mm, to hide water tanks and sewage pipes. When building the wall, pipe holes need to be reserved, and the verticality error of the wall should not exceed 5mm.
II. Water Tank and Pipe Embedding
- Hidden Water Tank Installation: The water tank is fixed inside the steel frame and made of high-density plastic material. A maintenance access port needs to be reserved (usually accessible through the flush button panel). The sewage pipe uses HDPE pipe and is connected to the main pipe through electrofusion to ensure tightness and prevent leakage.
- Sewage System: The sewage pipe of the wall-discharge toilet needs to be connected horizontally. A 110mm diameter downspout needs to be embedded in the false wall, with a tee joint left. The pipe slope should be controlled at 1%-2% to prevent backflow of sewage.
III. Wall Construction and Material Selection
- Material Requirements: The wall needs to use materials that are corrosion-resistant, non-slip, and easy to clean, such as stainless steel handrails and non-slip floor tiles. The joints between materials need to be sealed with waterproof glue to prevent water seepage.
- Barrier-Free Design: For barrier-free mobile toilets, non-slip strips need to be installed at the edges of the entrance ramp, and the ground drainage slope should be controlled at 2%-3%. The height of the handrails should be 0.7-0.9 meters, and the diameter of the wheelchair turning space should be ≥1.5 meters.
IV. Toilet Main Body Installation
- Fixing Method: The toilet is connected to the steel frame through fixing screws, with the weight dispersed to the ground and the wall by the frame to ensure it will not fall off during normal use. After installation, the stability of the toilet needs to be tested, and the slight shaking amplitude should not exceed 5mm.
- Differences in Side-Discharge Toilets: For side-discharge toilets, some pipes are exposed, and maintenance space (such as a maintenance door) needs to be reserved on the wall. However, their aesthetics are relatively poor, making them suitable for scenarios sensitive to cost.
V. Acceptance and Maintenance
- Stability Inspection: After installation, the load-bearing structure of the wall, the tightness of the sewage pipes, and the response speed of the flushing device need to be tested. The flushing time should not exceed 3 seconds, and the tightness of the pipes can be verified through pressure testing.
- Long-Term Maintenance: Regularly check the wear of wall materials and replace damaged parts (such as handrails and sealing rings) in a timely manner. It is recommended to conduct a comprehensive inspection every six months to ensure the normal operation of the equipment.
Precautions: The installation process of wall-mounted wall-discharge toilets is complex and should be carried out by professionals; the walls of mobile toilets on construction sites need to comply with barrier-free standards to avoid increasing costs through later modifications.
