Mobile Toilet Ventilation System

Admin September 22, 2026

The mobile toilet ventilation system mainly includes four types: natural ventilation, mechanical ventilation, deodorization ventilation, and intelligent ventilation. When deploying, it is necessary to comprehensively consider factors such as site selection, equipment power, and pipeline layout.

Ventilation System Types

  1. Natural Ventilation System: Utilizes natural wind power through wall vents (such as louvers) to achieve air exchange. It has a simple structure and is energy-efficient and environmentally friendly, but its ventilation effect is greatly influenced by wind power and is inefficient in windless conditions.
  2. Mechanical Ventilation System:
    • Exhaust Fan Ventilation: Install exhaust fans to directly extract stale air. It is necessary to reasonably set up air inlets to avoid negative pressure issues.
    • Combined Supply and Exhaust Ventilation: Through the coordinated operation of supply and exhaust fans, it precisely controls air flow, maintains indoor air pressure balance, and provides stable ventilation effects.
  3. Deodorization Ventilation System: Equipped with activated carbon adsorption devices or photocatalytic oxidation equipment, it can effectively remove odors and improve air quality.
  4. Intelligent Ventilation System: Uses sensors to monitor air quality, humidity, and other parameters, automatically adjusting ventilation volume to achieve intelligent control and optimize user experience.

Deployment Considerations

  1. Site Selection and Vent Direction: Prioritize locations with good natural ventilation conditions, avoiding low-lying or leeward areas. Set the toilet orientation in conjunction with local wind direction characteristics.
  2. Equipment Power Matching: Select exhaust equipment based on the number of toilets and space size. For single toilets, it is recommended to configure small exhaust fans with a power of ≥5W. For large toilets, consider parallel connection of dual fans to ensure an air exchange rate of 8-10 times per hour and confirm that the equipment has rainproof design.
  3. Pipeline Layout Optimization: Exhaust pipelines should be short and straight, minimizing bends. For multiple toilets arranged side by side, a centralized exhaust main pipe can be used for connection, with each branch pipe equipped with an air volume control valve. Install rainproof louvers at pipeline outlets.
  4. Odor Filtration Configuration: Install activated carbon filter cotton or photocatalyst filter screens in front of exhaust fans. When renting, check the filter replacement cycle and prioritize washable materials. In summer, install mosquito nets at air inlets.
  5. Intelligent Monitoring and Emergency Response: For large-scale events, configure air quality sensors to automatically activate the exhaust system when odor concentration exceeds standards. Develop emergency plans and prepare backup power interfaces.
  6. Exhaust Vent Location: It should be away from personnel activity areas. It is recommended to install it on the top or high side wall of the toilet (height ≥1.8 meters), avoiding direct sunlight and rain.
