Types of Mobile Toilets

Admin October 01, 2026

There are various types of mobile toilets, which can be mainly classified according to structural form, mobility method, sewage treatment method, and special requirements.

In terms of structural form, mobile toilets can be divided into single-structure mobile toilets and composite-structure mobile toilets. Among them, single-structure mobile toilets usually consist of a single independent compartment, with a simple structure and a small footprint, suitable for places with dispersed pedestrian traffic, such as parks and scenic spots. Combined mobile toilets, on the other hand, form multiple toilet compartments through modular assembly and can be flexibly equipped with facilities such as washbasins and urinals according to needs, making them suitable for areas with high pedestrian traffic, such as large event venues and construction sites.

In terms of mobility method, mobile toilets can be divided into hoisting and handling mobile toilets and powered and towed mobile toilets. Hoisting and handling mobile toilets are usually smaller in size and can be transported to designated locations by cranes or manual handling, suitable for temporary or short-term use scenarios. Powered and towed mobile toilets are equipped with power systems or towing devices, allowing them to move on their own or be towed to destinations by vehicles, suitable for scenarios that require frequent movement or long-distance transportation.

In terms of sewage treatment method, mobile toilets can be divided into flush and non-flush suction mobile toilets and circulating flush mobile toilets. Flush and non-flush suction mobile toilets treat excreta through flushing or suction methods and require regular cleaning of the sewage tank. Circulating flush mobile toilets, on the other hand, treat sewage through a circulating filtration system, enabling the reuse of water resources and being more environmentally friendly and energy-efficient.

In addition, to meet special requirements, mobile toilets can also be designed as mobile toilets with barrier-free access to facilitate use by disabled individuals; environmentally friendly ecological toilets, such as those using microbial degradation or circulating flush methods, to reduce environmental impact; and luxury mobile toilets, equipped with facilities such as air conditioners, lighting, and ventilation fans to enhance user comfort. These special types of mobile toilets can be customized according to specific scenarios and needs to meet diverse usage requirements.
