Mobile Toilet Truck Installation Guide

Admin October 08, 2026

The installation of a mobile toilet truck (portable toilet) must follow standardized procedures to ensure safety and functionality. The specific steps are as follows:

I. Preliminary Preparations

  1. Determine the installation location: Choose a flat area with good drainage, avoiding low-lying areas prone to water accumulation or excessively sloped terrain. Keep it away from drinking water sources and pollution-sensitive areas, while maintaining a reasonable distance from surrounding buildings and roads to ensure convenient use without affecting the environmental aesthetics.
  2. Confirm site conditions: Check the ground firmness. If the soil is soft (e.g., muddy or sandy ground), lay wooden planks, gravel, or a concrete base in advance to prevent the equipment from sinking. Clear obstacles (such as rocks and tree roots) from the site to ensure smooth passage for transport vehicles and installation equipment.
  3. Handle approval procedures: When installing in public places (such as parks and scenic spots) or when temporary occupation of public space is required, apply for a temporary facility permit from local urban management and environmental protection departments to avoid being ordered to dismantle the equipment due to non-compliant installation.

II. Transportation and Unloading Process

  1. Transportation method: Use a dedicated flatbed truck or crane for transportation. Before transportation, firmly bind the toilet truck body to the vehicle chassis with ropes and fixing brackets to prevent equipment displacement or damage due to bumps during transportation.
  2. Unloading precautions: Upon arrival at the site, first confirm the ground load-bearing capacity (e.g., the load-bearing capacity of a concrete pavement should be ≥5 tons per square meter). Use a forklift or hydraulic lifting platform to unload the truck slowly to avoid hard collisions between the box and the ground. If unloading manually, at least four people should cooperate to ensure a stable landing.
  3. Position adjustment: Fine-tune the direction of the toilet truck according to the design plan to ensure that the sewage outlet is aligned with the site drainage system, while leaving enough space for personnel access and maintenance operations.

III. Installation and Commissioning Steps

  1. Foundation fixing: After placing the toilet truck at the predetermined position, use M12-M16 expansion screws to penetrate the fixing holes at the bottom of the truck body and screw them into the concrete layer of the ground. If the ground is soft, place counterweights (such as sandbags or concrete blocks) at the four corners of the truck body to prevent the equipment from tipping over due to strong winds.
  2. Drainage system connection: Select a drainage method according to the site conditions: If there is a municipal sewer nearby, connect the toilet sewage outlet to the sewer with a PVC pipe (diameter ≥110mm), with a slope of ≥2% to ensure the self-flow of sewage. If an independent sewage collection bucket is used, clean it regularly (it is recommended to clean it every 2-3 days).
  3. Water and electricity inspection: Connect a 220V temporary power supply or start the generator to test whether the lighting, flushing system, and exhaust fan are working properly. For environmentally friendly toilets (such as microbial degradation toilets), check whether the fecal tank capacity is sufficient (usually, 20% of empty space should be reserved).
  4. Detail inspection: Ensure that the door locks and window seals are in good condition and that the ventilation system is not blocked. Equip the toilet with consumables such as toilet paper, hand sanitizer, and disinfectant according to the number of users, and post usage instructions and emergency contact information in a conspicuous place.

IV. Usage and Maintenance Recommendations

  1. Daily cleaning: Clean the internal garbage of the toilet every day and wipe the toilet bowl and floor with a disinfectant. Check whether the sewage pipe is blocked every week and unclog it in a timely manner.
  2. Emergency handling: Prepare spare toilet paper, disinfectant, and other consumables. In case of equipment failure (such as flushing failure), immediately contact the lessor for repair to avoid affecting use.
  3. Contract agreement: When signing the lease contract, clarify the installation, usage, and dismantling time as well as the cost details to avoid disputes due to unclear responsibility division.
