What is a Mobile Toilet

Admin October 10, 2026

A mobile toilet is a facility that can be moved as a whole and placed at fixed or temporary locations to provide toilet services for the public and customers. The following is an introduction from three aspects: applicable places, types, and characteristics of mobile environmental protection public toilets.

Applicable places: Mobile toilets have a wide range of applicability. They are commonly found at transportation hubs such as stations and docks, facilitating travelers to solve their toilet needs during their journeys. Tourist attractions are also important locations for their placement, meeting the needs of a large number of tourists. In residential areas like villa districts and newly built communities, when supporting facilities are not yet complete, mobile toilets can provide temporary services. On large construction sites with a dense workforce, mobile toilets can ensure the basic living needs of workers. In squares, densely populated public places, and bustling commercial streets with high foot traffic, mobile toilets can effectively alleviate toilet pressure.

Types:

  • By material: There are plastic toilets, which are lightweight and low-cost; color-steel toilets, which have a relatively attractive appearance and certain strength; fiberglass-reinforced plastic toilets, which are corrosion-resistant and have high strength; and tent-style toilets, which are relatively easy to set up and dismantle and are suitable for temporary locations.
  • By mobility method: Hoisting-type mobile toilets can be moved as a whole by cranes and are suitable for locations with relatively open spaces. Trailer-type mobile toilets can be moved like trailer caravans, offering high flexibility.
  • By sewage treatment method: Waterless packing-type mobile toilets do not require water and use biodegradable plastic bags to pack feces. Traditional water-flushing mobile toilets are similar to ordinary toilets and require a water connection for flushing. Foam-sealing mobile toilets use foam instead of water for sealing and flushing, achieving significant water-saving effects. Microbial degradation mobile toilets use microorganisms to degrade feces, with good environmental protection performance.

Characteristics of mobile environmental protection public toilets: They are designed based on new materials and water-saving technologies. The frame is welded with national standard steel, and the surface is covered with anti-corrosion and fire-resistant materials such as color-steel plates or carved panels, with a service life of more than 20 years. Internally, they are equipped with independent toilet pit partition treatment systems, etc., meeting relevant standards. Their technical types include water-flushing and waterless suction types, circulating water-flushing types, and dry packing types. In terms of structural characteristics, the exterior wall materials are diverse, and the main structure is welded with national standard light steel keels. There are rich standard and optional configurations, and intelligent control systems and insulation systems are also adopted, enhancing the comfort and convenience of use.
