Folding Method for Mobile Toilet Tents

Admin October 07, 2026

The folding method for mobile toilet tents should be carried out according to the specific type, and the following general steps can be referred to for common portable models:

The folding of mobile toilet tents should be combined with their structural design features. Some multi-functional portable models support quick retraction (such as 3-second folding), but most require manual step-by-step operation. The following is a general folding process:

Step 1: Empty and Preliminary Organization

  1. Remove internal facilities: Ensure that there are no residual excreta, tissues, or other debris inside the tent to avoid contaminating the folded tent. If equipped with a detachable toilet pan or water storage tank, remove and clean them separately first.
  2. Lay the tent flat: Fully unfold the tent to a horizontal state, ensuring that all support rods are in an extended position to provide a stable foundation for subsequent folding.
  3. Loosen the fixing devices: Check the fixing ropes, ground stakes, or buckles around the tent, and unfasten and gather them one by one. If the tent has a rain cover or sunshade at the top, fold it to the main part first.

Step 2: Fold the Main Structure

  1. Compress the support rods: Most mobile toilet tents use elastic support rods (such as fiberglass rods). Hold both ends of the rod with both hands and apply slow pressure towards the middle to bend it and fit it against the main body of the tent. Note: Avoid sudden force to prevent the rod from breaking or popping out and causing injury.
  2. Fold the tent fabric: Starting from one end of the tent, fold the fabric towards the center to form a long strip. If the tent has a layered design (such as separate inner and outer tents), fold the inner tent first and then handle the outer tent to prevent the fabric from getting tangled.
  3. Gather into a bundle: Wrap the folded tent fabric and support rods together, and fix them with the matching straps or elastic ropes to prevent them from coming loose. Some models are equipped with a special storage bag. Place the tent vertically into the bag and tighten the bag opening.

Special Case Handling

  • Automatically unfolding tents: If the tent supports one-click unfolding, when folding, find the release button or pull ring at the bottom, press it, and then perform the reverse operation to retract it.
  • Large fixed-type toilet tents: First, disassemble the side walls, roof, and other modules, and then fold the support rods and fabric separately. Finally, load them into the transportation box in layers.

Precautions

  • Ensure that the tent is completely dry before folding to avoid mildew.
  • Keep the support rods symmetrically bent to prevent long-term unilateral stress from causing deformation.
  • Store the folded tent in a dry and ventilated place, away from sharp objects.

If the product manual provides specific steps, follow the manual. Different brand designs may have differences.
