Mobile Toilet Technical Standards

Admin October 06, 2026

The technical standards for mobile toilets cover multiple aspects, including structural materials, sanitary ware, electrical safety, environmental adaptability, sewage disposal, and design specifications, as detailed below:

In terms of structural materials, the main structural materials such as steel and wood must meet design specifications and quality standards. Steel should have a quality certification document, with no rust, cracks, or other defects on its surface; wood should be dry, without decay or insect damage. Wall materials such as color-coated steel sheets and fiberglass-reinforced plastics should have uniform color, no scratches or deformation, with the coating thickness of color-coated steel sheets meeting standards and the strength and corrosion resistance of fiberglass-reinforced plastics complying with requirements. Floor materials such as non-slip tiles and anti-corrosive wooden floors should be hard, wear-resistant, and have good non-slip performance; wooden floors should undergo anti-corrosion treatment, with moisture content controlled within specified limits.

For sanitary ware, items such as toilets, washbasins, and faucets should be reliable, water-saving products with product certification and quality inspection reports. The sewage outlet of the toilet should be equipped with a flip-type odor-blocking device to prevent odor emission.

Electrical safety standards require neat and standardized electrical wiring, with wires protected by conduits and different voltage levels of wires laid separately. The distribution box should be installed in a location convenient for operation and maintenance, with intact and reliable electrical components inside. Lighting fixtures should be installed according to design requirements, with accurate positioning and appropriate brightness. Switches and sockets should be installed at consistent heights, with deviations within the same room not exceeding specified limits. After installation, insulation resistance tests and power-on tests should be conducted to ensure the safety and reliability of the electrical system.

Environmental adaptability standards stipulate that mobile toilets should be able to adapt to an environmental temperature range of -40℃ to 60℃, ensuring normal use under various climatic conditions. They should also have certain wind, earthquake, and lightning resistance capabilities to remain stable and safe during severe weather or natural disasters such as earthquakes.

Sewage disposal standards require that sewage disposal methods comply with environmental protection requirements, using environmentally friendly technologies such as biodegradation and foam sealing to reduce environmental pollution. Sewage disposal devices should be well-sealed to prevent sewage leakage. The waste tank should be equipped with an automatic full-level alarm device to alert staff for fecal removal when the tank is full.

Design specification standards indicate that the internal space design should be reasonable, with the internal space of toilet compartments and management rooms not less than specified dimensions. Barrier-free design should be considered, with facilities such as disabled compartments and grab bars provided for the convenience of disabled users. Signs and labels should comply with relevant standards, using bilingual (Chinese and English) signboards for easy identification by users.
